Skim plaster finish • Apply skim coat to ceilings, ready for decoration (smooth, consistent finish)., • Protect adjacent finishes and keep the site clean. Option B – Tape & Joint Finish (Alternative to Skim) 1. Fix 25mm high-density acoustic plasterboard to existing plasterboard ceilings (as above)., 2. Tape and joint all board joints, internal angles, and fixings., 3. Finish ready for decoration. Acoustic Detailing • Leave perimeter gaps and penetrations clear for acoustic sealing and coordinate with our team as required., • Do not leave open gaps, cracks, or poorly finished junctions that compromise the acoustic upgrade.
