Key Responsibilities: Assist the lead teacher in planning and conducting daily activities and lessons Help supervise children to ensure safety at all times, indoors and outdoors Support children’s emotional, social, cognitive, and physical development Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment Assist with meal/snack preparation and help children during mealtimes Help with diapering, toilet training, and other personal care tasks as needed Observe and document children’s behavior and development for lead teacher review Communicate positively and professionally with children, staff, and parents Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and professional development opportunities Qualifications: High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or Child Development preferred Experience working with young children in a group setting CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain) Knowledge of child development and age-appropriate practices Patience, flexibility, and a strong sense of responsibility Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team Work Environment: This position typically involves working in a classroom setting within a licensed preschool or early childhood center.
