Job Description • Senior Accountant Summary / Objective A large growing company is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to join our Accounting team. This role plays a critical part in the month-end and year-end close process, financial statement preparation, and account analysis. The Senior Accountant will ensure the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of financial results in accordance with U.S. GAAP. In addition to core close responsibilities, this position will contribute to improving accounting processes, strengthening internal controls, and leveraging technology to drive efficiency and scalability within the accounting function. Essential Responsibilities Month-End Close & Financial Reporting • Own and actively participate in the month-end and year-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate completion., • Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, and adjustments during the close cycle., • Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, including the balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow., • Perform detailed month-end balance sheet reconciliations in accordance with U.S. GAAP., • Analyze monthly fluctuations and trends across the balance sheet and P investigate and explain variances.Financial Analysis & Budgeting, • Perform analytical procedures, including budget-to-actual analysis and variance explanations., • Assist with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting packages for management., • Support the annual budgeting process and ongoing forecast updates.Audit & Compliance, • Assist with the annual external audit by preparing schedules, supporting documentation, and responding to auditor inquiries., • Ensure accounting activities comply with U.S. GAAP and internal control requirements., • Identify and resolve reconciling items timely, escalating exceptions to management as needed.Process Improvement & Ad Hoc Support, • Identify opportunities to improve close efficiency, reporting accuracy, and accounting processes., • Support management with ad hoc financial analysis, special projects, and cross-functional initiatives as needed.Qualifications, • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance., • 4+ years of progressive professional accounting experience., • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial statement preparation., • Hands-on experience with month-end close processes and balance sheet reconciliations., • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and working knowledge of Microsoft Office products., • Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills., • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with excellent time-management and attention to detail., • Experience with Oracle NetSuite or similar ERP systems preferred., • Equal Opportunity Employer/Veterans/Disabled To read our Candidate Privacy Information Statement, which explains how we will use your information, please navigate to Please email resumes to michele.degaetano@ LHH.com Pay Details: $90,000.00 to $100,000.00 per year Search managed by: Michele DeGaetano Equal Opportunity Employer/Veterans/Disabled Military connected talent encouraged to apply To read our Candidate Privacy Information Statement, which explains how we will use your information, please navigate to The Company will consider qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records in accordance with federal, state, and local laws and/or security clearance requirements, including, as applicable: • The California Fair Chance Act, • Los Angeles City Fair Chance Ordinance, • Los Angeles County Fair Chance Ordinance for Employers, • San Francisco Fair Chance OrdinanceMassachusetts Candidates Only: It is unlawful in Massachusetts to require or administer a lie detector test as a condition of employment or continued employment.
