The Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) will assess, develop, and provide speech, language, and feeding/swallowing services to preschool and school-age students. You will design therapy programs tailored to each child’s communication needs while supporting classroom success and meaningful social engagement. • Screen, evaluate, and diagnose speech, language, and feeding/swallowing needs following ASHA guidelines., • Develop therapy goals and intervention strategies aligned with each student’s IEP and school philosophy., • Deliver direct and small-group speech therapy using evidence-based practices., • Maintain documentation, including evaluation reports, daily notes, progress summaries, and IEP updates., • Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings, case reviews, parent conferences, and professional consultations., • Assess the effectiveness of classroom language/communication strategies and collaborate with educators to support communication in academic settings., • Act as a child advocate and help support communication goals across home, school, and community environments., • Education: Master’s Degree in Speech Pathology., • Certification/License: NYS Speech licensure and NYS Teacher of Speech and Hearing Handicapped Certification (TSHH/TSSLD)., • Experience: Pediatric or school-based experience preferred.
