The RN will supervise licensed practical nurses, certified nursing assistants, and orientees, working primarily on weekends. The Registered Nurse will be responsible for the following: • Conducting a nursing assessment on all patients within 8 hours of admission to develop an individualized care plan., • Identifying patient teaching needs and collaborating with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team., • Providing timely patient information and status updates during team conferences., • Documenting assessments, interventions, and responses accurately and promptly in the medical record., • Participating actively in the patient rehabilitation program and ensuring effective direct patient care using the nursing process., • Initiating discharge planning and patient education from the day of admission., • Ensuring effective communication about patient status changes between care providers to support continuity and safety., • Supervising and training ancillary nursing personnel, utilizing problem-solving techniques to address decision-making and prioritization., • Maintaining personal and environmental safety in accordance with hospital policies., • Contributing positively to unit functioning and participating in team building activities., • Monitoring supplies and providing care in a cost-effective manner., • Assuming charge responsibilities as needed after orientation., • Pursuing professional development through continuing education and self-study., • Performing other duties as requested., • BLS Certification required prior to the first shift., • ACLS certification required prior to the first shift (CIRH ONLY)., • Minimum of two (2) years of bedside clinical experience is highly desired.
