Job Summary TransLash Media is seeking a strategic, detail-oriented, and collaborative Website Content Manager with a strong background in SEO, digital storytelling, and user-focused web content. This role will lead and support our digital content efforts with a core emphasis on optimizing, staging, and enhancing website content including blogs, TransLash Wire articles, resources, and more, and ensuring that everything we publish is engaging, accessible, and aligned with best SEO practices. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in how our audience experiences our content and has a strong, strategic understanding of how content drives engagement and visibility across the digital ecosystem. Availability is required during East Coast business hours (9 AM–5 PM ET), with occasional evening and weekend support as needed. Roles and Responsibilities: * Audit, edit, optimize, and maintain existing website content with a focus on UX, SEO, and accessibility * Create, stage and format new website content, including but not limited to blog posts and TransLash Wire articles, ensuring alignment with editorial and brand standards and SEO practices * Recommend and execute discoverability and engagement optimizations, including internal linking strategies, on-page improvements, while incorporating AI-driven SEO and GEO landscape trends * Execute, implement and maintain SEO and SOP best practices across digital content, including metadata, headers, visual elements, internal links, alt text, etc. * Monitor content performance and propose optimizations based on data insights and search trends * Collaborate with colleagues, writers, editors, and others to align on content strategy, publishing workflows, and editorial calendars and to enhance digital storytelling across website content * Perform additional digital and administrative tasks to support the Director of Digital & Social Media as needed The above job description is not intended to be an all-inclusive list of duties and standards of the position. Required Skills/Abilities: * Demonstrated experience creating and optimizing content for web platforms and for historically marginalized communities, including those who are LGBTQ+ * 3-5 years experience in digital content production, SEO writing, website management, or similar roles * Expert understanding of SEO best practices and content performance tools * Strong command of grammar, AP Style (or similar), and plain language principles * Experience working with CMS platforms (WordPress), Google docs, and collaborative editing * You also have: * Proven ability to collaborate across diverse cultures, backgrounds, and perspectives * Strong interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills * Skilled in balancing creative ideas with data-driven thinking * Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities * Effective time management and proactive planning from concept to execution * Self-motivated, ambitious, and entrepreneurial in approach Core Competencies: * UX-Driven Storytelling: Develop digital content and strategies that engage historically marginalized communities, including transgender, non-binary, and gender non-conforming folks, while supporting user-experience * SEO-First Thinking: Write and optimize content to improve visibility and organic reach * Detail-Oriented: Catches grammar, formatting, and consistency issues before publishing * User-Centered Content Design & Readability: Prioritize user needs and behaviors by aligning content with search intent, presenting information clearly, and using structured formatting to enhance skimmability and comprehension across mobile and web * Tech-Savvy & Adaptive: Stay updated on digital tools, trends, and platforms, helping improve workflows and content creation * Communication & Problem-Solving: Communicate clearly with the team and help address challenges, offering practical solutions where needed Physical Requirements: * Remaining in a stationary position, often sitting or standing for prolonged periods * Prolonged periods working on a computer * Communicating with others to exchange information * Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers * Must be able to lift 15 pounds at a time. Compensation: $50 an hour plus benefits.
