Job Overview We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Senior Manager of Sock Design to join our design team. This role will be responsible for developing innovative sock designs across multiple categories while collaborating closely with cross functional partners to bring concepts from idea to final product. This role requires a keen eye for detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with the various teams to ensure the highest quality of design and production. Key Responsibilities • Design and develop seasonal sock collections across all genders, • Create original artwork, patterns, colorways, and graphics aligned with brand identity and market trends, • Develop detailed tech packs, including yarns, stitches, colors, measurements, and construction details, • Collaborate with Sales, Merchandising, PD and Production teams to ensure designs meet cost, quality, and timeline requirements, • Revise designs based on internal feedback, buyer comments, and production needs, • Research trends, materials, and competitive products to inform design direction, • Ensure all designs are production-ready and meet quality standards, • Communicate effectively with vendors to ensure timely and accurate production of designs, • Collaborate with technical designers on sample revisions and final product approval, • Manage multiple design projects simultaneously, focusing on seasonal and early development timelines, • Assist with trend forecasting and research to keep designs fresh and competitive, • Work closely with the director to ensure all design needs are met Qualifications • Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design, Textile Design, or a related field preferred, • 5-8 years of experience in knitwear design, preferably with a strong focus on socks, • Strong understanding of sock construction, yarns, gauges, and knitting techniques, • Strong technical skills in CAD sketches and technical sketches, • Proficiency in Adobe CC Suite, Microsoft Office Suite and PLM, • Strong sense of color, pattern, and trend awareness, • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines, • Strong communication and collaboration skills The salary range for this New York based role is $100,000 to $125,000. Base salaries are determined during the interview process by evaluating a candidate's experience, skills, and alignment with internal peers, as well as the scope and responsibilities of the position.
