    Position Overview The Assistant Store Leader of Operations leads and supports the Store Leader by directing activities required to achieve all store goals, including best of class guest service, sales objectives, operating expenses, loss prevention, and merchandising presentation, while driving both associate and guest engagement. You will provide guests with exceptional service, through relationship building, product knowledge sharing, and presenting a clean, well-maintained store environment. Operations Leaders drive excellence through increasing sales, finding operational efficiencies, and developing top talent within their team. People • Fosters a guest-focused team environment through driving volume and anticipating guest needs, • Achieves excellent guest service by role-modeling company service standards, • Proactively provides timely feedback to associates, rewards and recognizes performance to drive retention, • Holds self and associates accountable for achievement of financial results and performance standards, • Manages conflict and coaches by applying company’s recommended processes, standards and guidelines, • Empowers and involves associates in decision-making processes, • Receives feedback and fosters dialog around solutions, • Develops associates through an individualized approach by matching talent with tasks, delegating, and challenging on results, • Fosters team commitment through support, relationship building, and recognizing individual contributions, • Leads by managing through change and adversity, • Makes recommendations on hiring, promotions, and terminations of team members based on performance Process • Consistently meets or exceeds store and individual goals and contributes to the store’s overall goals., • Engages our guests and make their shopping experience exceptional!, • Co-Leads floor sets/refresh management, • Makes recommendations on hiring, promotions, and terminations of team members based on performance, • Manages and oversee scheduling, • Manages back of house organization, • Manages shipment and product prep process (steaming, hanging etc.), • Plans and manages merchandise markdown process, • Manages supply orders, maintenance & cleaning, • Manages Inventory/Damages, • Audits and manage banking & loss prevention systems, • Trains new associates on operational processes, • Co-manages payroll and responsible for store’s financial performance, • Responsible for decisions regarding store operations and planning, • Controls workflow through successful planning and delegation, • Executes task directives within designated time frames, • Completes opening/closing procedures, • Adheres to loss prevention practices and reports potential incidents to ensure shortage control in order to protect Company assets, • Communicates effectively with executive team., • Must be able to lift & carry heavy boxes (up to 30 lbs) Presentation • Utilizes and manages the use of weekly reporting to track, analyze and communicate business results and determine strategies to maximize sales, • Interprets Home Office communication through Store Leader / District Leader partnership, • Partners with the Visual District Leader and Visual Assistant Store Leader to oversee and manage the roll-out of floorsets, window sets, fixture placement and overall visual environment., • Maintains an awareness of brand aesthetic and relevance to the store environment and communicate with team, • Communicates performance observations and offers feedback to the District Leader Qualifications • 1 year Retail Management, • Bachelor’s Degree preferred, • Physical ability to perform tasks, which could require prolonged standing, sitting, reaching, kneeling and / or squatting frequently. May be required to occasionally climb ladders, climb and descend stairs frequently, depending on location. Must be able to lift and carry 30 pounds regularly without assistance. As a member of the Produce team, our team members must take pride in having a vast knowledge of our produce items. They will deliver exceptional guest service, be responsible for display items for the department, monitor waste, and be a strong team player. Responsibilities & Duties: • Help department to maximize sales by providing exceptional guest service., • Ability to increase sales by suggestively selling products to every guest., • Unload products from truck, break down pallets, take in deliveries, and separate produce for sales floor, and cooler., • Process and/or wraps produce items prior to filling displays., • Basic knife skills., • Responsible for product rotation, facing, restocking, culling, product displays., • Adhere to all DOH, DOA and OSHA standards. Handle chemicals (spectrum veggie wash and sanitize solution)., • Follow, maintain and perform safety and sanitation procedures; throughout all shifts., • Communicate effectively with peers and management., • Always maintain professionalism and treat everyone with respect and courtesy., • Must always be guest focus and forward facing., • Adhere to all assigned duties by management team. Minimum Requirements • Minimum of 6 months to 1 year with food handling, guest service and sales experience., • Exceptional guest service, organization, and merchandizing skills., • Ability to retain product knowledge., • Ability to act with a sense of urgency and remain productive in a fast-paced environment., • Must possess problem solving skills., • Empowered team player willing to assist fellow associates. Additional Requirements: • Report to work at the scheduled time, neatly groomed, and the in the correct uniform, • The associate is occasionally required to sit, stand, reach, lift, bend, kneel, stoop, climb, push and pull items weighing 20–75 pounds., • The position requires manual dexterity, visual skills, and the ability to follow written and oral instructions and procedures, • Ability to work within temperature-controlled environments, • Handling and controlling cleaning supplies, • Maintain a clean and safe environment by following Citarella and DOA standards, • Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays, • Other duties may be assigned as business needs change.
