Position Overview The Legal Assistant plays a key role in supporting paralegals and attorneys and ensuring smooth daily operations. This position involves interpreting for non-Spanish fluent attorneys, maintaining electronic and physical files, preparing immigration petitions for mailing, and assisting with legal work. This is a full-time, in-office position based in Newark, NJ, with the expectation of daily on-site presence. Key Responsibilities Legal Support & Coordination • Assist paralegals and attorneys with case preparation and documentation, • Prepare and mail immigration petitions and supporting documents, • Communicate clearly and professionally with clients when needed, • Assist with office tasks and workflow management, • High School Diploma/GED required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred, • Must be fluent in Spanish (reading, writing, speaking), • Detail-oriented and highly organized, • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, • Experience with Salesforce and SharePoint preferred, • In-office role with a collaborative, mission-driven culture, • Opportunities for professional growth and hands-on learning in immigration law, • Competitive benefits package, including:, • Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance, • 401(k) with employer match, • Paid time off and holidays, • Paid Parental leave (available after one year of service)
