Your mission Restore and protect heavy trucks, trailers, and equipment using expert bodywork, structural repair, and professional-grade finishing. Partner with maintenance and operations to tackle the highest-impact repairs first and return critical assets to service quickly—with a finish that reflects the company’s reputation for quality. What you’ll tackle • Body repairs for heavy fleet: dent removal, panel replacement, welding (structural and cosmetic)., • Surface preparation: sanding, filling, priming; apply coatings via spray/brush for durable, showroom-level finishes., • Corrosion control: sandblast frames, components, and panels; treat rust and apply undercoatings for longevity., • Component restoration: repair/replace bumpers, doors, hoods, fenders; install decals, reflectors, and safety markings for compliance., • Quality control: inspect work to meet safety and finish standards; document repairs, parts consumed, and follow-up actions., • Shop excellence: maintain a safe, organized spray booth and tool set; adhere to paint/flammable handling and PPE protocols., • Workflow coordination: align with maintenance and operations to prioritize jobs, manage parts, and meet turnaround targets.QualificationsMust-haves, • Proven auto-body skill set: metalwork, panel replacement, dent repair, sanding, filling, priming., • Proficiency with welders, grinders, sanders, air tools, and spray equipment; capable of safely mixing/applying paint systems., • Detail orientation in finish quality; organized with reliable documentation habits., • Knowledge of safety practices for paint fumes, flammables, and PPE., • Valid driver’s license (CDL a plus, not required).Preferred, • Vocational or trade certification in auto/collision repair., • Background in heavy equipment bodywork (trucks, trailers, excavators, graders)., • Spray-paint system certifications, OSHA training, or similar safety credentials.You should be proficient in, • Automotive Repair, • Welding Setups for Production, • Lift Truck Repair & Maintenance, • Vehicle Body Repair, • Vehicle & Fleet WeldingWhy you’ll love it, • Competitive pay, • Health benefits, • Medical, Vision, Life Insurance, • Paid time off and holiday schedule, • Retirement plan, • Tool/boot allowance; safety gear provided, • Paid training and certification support, • Stable, long-term work across diverse heavy-equipment fleets and infrastructure projects, • Career growth and cross-training within maintenance and operationsThe details, • Experience: Mid-Level (4–7 years)
