Supervisors embody good habits and Bread Alone culture always leading by example. The Sanitation Supervisor is a key position within the Facilities Department. This department primarily focuses on both Sanitation and Food Safety for the entire bakery. The Supervisor is the PIC (Person in Charge) for their shift - overseeing productivity and making certain that shift staffing is properly in place. They are our first line of leadership and the primary source of hands-on guidance for our professionals. They are the mentors for our professionals and are responsible for supporting the development of the professional team’s cohesion, operational knowledge and practical skills. The Sanitation Supervisor focuses on completing all assigned tasks, while maintaining all mandatory safety and sanitation standards, throughout the building and grounds at Bread Alone Bakery. This role will also assist with establishing new and maintaining appropriate safety and sanitation standards throughout the building. In addition to daily sanitation requirements, this position entails a working knowledge of Bread Alone’s warehouse management/organization. Supervisors are responsible for actively troubleshooting issues that arise on their station(s) and communicating those issues with other supervisors in their department, and with the Manager on Duty (MOD). Supervisors must hold themselves and their teammates accountable to Bread Alone safety, culture, and employee conduct standards. They must address any product, equipment, and interpersonal issues in accordance with Bread Alone policy and seek support from managers when necessary. Supervisors are responsible for properly documenting and communicating with their manager any issue regarding product, equipment, or the team. Supervisors take ownership and responsibility for their shift. They embody the work ethic, curiosity, gritty determination, honesty, and humility that is at the core the Bread Alone management principles.
