Job Description JOB SUMMARY: Is responsible for the planning, executing, directing and evaluating the nursing care given to the patient. The role is defined as the pre-procedure, intra-procedure and the post-procedure period. May have contact with the patient in each phase of the endoscopy experience. The responsibility includes the preparation assembly and organization of the environment, equipment and supplies necessary to perform the activities necessary for the preparation and the recovery of the ambulatory patient. JOB RELATIONSHIPS: Responsible to: Nurse Manager Interrelationships: Must have an effective working relationship with co-workers, members of the medical community, patients, family and the community. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to the following: · Supervises nursing activities related to patient care and sets standards for accurate reporting and recording of patient’s symptoms, reactions and progress. · Provides input and standards in formulating patient care policy and procedures for the Center.
