Job Description "Urgently Hiring!! Looking to fill as soon as possible!!” Job Summary The Direct Support Professional (DSP), such as a Habilitation Specialist or Respite Worker, is responsible for assisting the people we support, while following established treatment plans. QSAC’s Community Habilitation (Comm Hab) program emphasizes the importance of promoting independence and integration into the community. Services are provided in the individual’s family’s home and/or in the community. You will abide by the Direct Support Professional Code of Ethics at all times. You will be required to attend periodic meetings and trainings and provide feedback regarding progress. You will also need to be an active team member and give suggestions on strategies to assist the individual in achieving their personal goals. Cases are in either Floral Park, West Hempstead, or Rockville Center Salary for this position is $18.00 per hour for Community Habilitation and $18.00 an hour for Respite Shift Information: Flexible Schedule - Mornings, Afternoons, Evenings, Overnights - Weekdays and/or Weekends. Work 4 to 20+ hours weekly.
