Job Description Imaging Systems Support Summary: The Imaging Systems Support Specialist plays a key role in supporting the implementation, integration, maintenance, and optimization of Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS) and related imaging technologies. This role collaborates closely with clinical, technical, and vendor teams to ensure seamless operation of imaging systems and contributes to broader IT initiatives as needed. Candidates should possess a strong understanding of Electronic Health Records (EHR), practice management systems, Microsoft Windows desktop environments, Microsoft Office Suite, and clinical workflows in a patient care setting. Excellent multitasking, documentation, communication, and organizational skills are essential. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following: Other duties may be assigned. • Assistsin the planning,implementation,deploymentand configuration of clinical devices, continuedtroubleshooting ofPACSand imaging related systems., • Provide first-line support for clinical imaging applications and devices, including setup, user accountsetup,maintenance, software updates, and troubleshooting., • Troubleshoot system errors and escalate complex issues toappropriate internalresources or external vendors. Communicate clearly with system usersregardingplanned or unexpected downtime, upgrades, or system changes., • Merging duplicatepatient charts and correct demographic information in PACS as needed, • Develops andmaintainstechnical and user-facing documentation for imaging systems and workflows., • Support PACS-related integration projects and act as a liaison with vendors and internal stakeholders.Assistin training and development of internal super users and staff on imaging tools and best practices. Participate in onboarding and user education., • Stay informed of new developments in imaging technology, healthcare IT standards, and industry best practices., • Maintain collaborative and professional working relationships with team members, clinical staff, vendors, and leadership., • Maintain an up-to-date inventory of imaging equipment, software licenses, and vendor contact information., • Provide support for clinical imaging devices, including networksetup, software updates, databackups, and both onsite and remote troubleshooting., • Participate in beta testing, software validation, and regression testing for updates to PACS and other clinical systems., • Provide Level 1 support for service requests; escalate complex issues appropriately., • Provide Level 1 support for clinical systems including but not limited to Harmony, Forum, NextGen, and Clearwave., • ParticipatesinIT and technology committee meetings andcontributesto strategic discussions related to imaging and clinical systems. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position, requiring a minimum average schedule of 40 hours worked per week. Standard days are Monday through Friday. Flexibility in hours is required based on the needs of the organization. Evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand. Education and/or Experience Has knowledge of concepts, practices, and procedures in the field of Information technology, clinical devices, and picture archiving and communication systems (PACS). Language Skills Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public. Reasoning Ability Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Computer Skills Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Windows OS, Windows Server, LAN and WAN Certificates, Licenses, Registrations Any of the following: CCNP, MTA, CCA, CCNA, CompTia A+ Certified Other Qualifications Must be willing & able to travel to multiple locations in Nassau & Suffolk Counties.
