Job Description We are seeking a licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) to provide pediatric occupational therapy services to school-age students across school, home, and community-based settings on Long Island. This position may include direct service, supervision of Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs), administrative responsibilities, or a combination of duties based on provider experience, availability, and program needs. The Occupational Therapist will evaluate and treat students with developmental delays, sensory processing challenges, fine motor and visual-motor deficits, self-care needs, and functional skill needs. This role focuses on individualized interventions that support participation in classroom routines, academic tasks, daily living skills, play, and age-appropriate activities. The Occupational Therapist will collaborate with families, educators, school staff, service coordinators, COTAs, and interdisciplinary team members to support consistent and effective service delivery across settings. Responsibilities include: • Conduct occupational therapy evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans for school-age students, • Provide direct occupational therapy services in school, home, and/or community-based settings, • Address fine motor skills, sensory processing, visual-motor integration, self-care, play, classroom participation, and functional independence, • Supervise COTAs in accordance with New York State requirements, professional standards, and agency policies, • Provide clinical guidance and feedback to COTAs regarding treatment implementation and student progress, • Review documentation, monitor progress, and ensure services remain appropriate and effective, • Collaborate with families, teachers, COTAs, and related service providers to support skill carryover, • Complete required documentation, including evaluations, session notes, progress reports, supervisory documentation, and treatment updates, • Provide consultation and strategies to caregivers and school staff as needed, • Participate in team meetings, case collaboration, and service planning, • Maintain ethical and professional standards in accordance with New York State and AOTA guidelines Position may include: • Salary, hourly, or contract-based opportunities, • Direct service and/or COTA supervision, • School-based, home-based, and community-based service locations, • Flexible scheduling based on provider availability and program needs Sign-On Bonus: A $500 sign-on bonus is available for eligible providers.
