Job Description CNA Trainee Rate: $18/hour Shift: Full-Time, Part-Time Schedule: Days during training Taconic Rehabilitation & Nursing at Hopewell is looking to add a CNA Trainee to its team. This position provides an opportunity to gain hands-on experience while participating in a Certified Nursing Assistant training program. Under the supervision of licensed nursing staff and instructors, you'll learn the skills needed to provide compassionate care and support to residents in a skilled nursing environment. RESPONSIBILITIES: • Participate in the facility's Certified Nursing Assistant training program, • Observe and learn resident care techniques, safety procedures, and infection control practices, • Assist with resident care activities as permitted under training program guidelines and supervision, • Practice CNA skills through demonstrations, return demonstrations, and supervised clinical experiences, • Communicate resident observations and concerns to nursing staff and instructors, • Maintain resident dignity, privacy, confidentiality, and rights at all times, • Follow facility policies, safety procedures, and infection prevention protocols, • Attend all required classes, clinical training sessions, and educational activities, • Complete training assignments, skills evaluations, and competency requirements, • Perform additional duties as assigned within the scope of the training program REQUIREMENTS: • High School Diploma, GED, or currently enrolled in a high school equivalency program preferred, • Interest in pursuing a career as a Certified Nursing Assistant, • Ability to communicate effectively and work as part of a team, • Compassionate, dependable, and eager to learn, • Ability to follow directions and maintain professional conduct, • Must successfully meet all program and facility requirements for participation in CNA training BENEFITS: • Paid Time Off (PTO) for Full-Time and Part-Time, • Weekly or Same-Day Pay Options, • Health, Dental, and Vision Insurance, • Life Insurance, • Employee Referral Bonus Program, • Retirement Saving Options
