The Certified Medical Assistant is responsible for assisting in providing clinical care to select patients under the supervision of the professional nurse or licensed medical practitioner and provides clerical office assistance. Job DescriptionDescription: Under the direct supervision of the Chief Medical Officer (CMO), SVP of Medical Services, and/or Clinical Site Director, the Nurse Practitioner (NP) provides direct clinical care to patients as per education, training, license, and certification. The NP is a member of Care Team with the purpose of providing evidence-based and quality medical care to Zufall Health Center patients. Essential Functions, Duties and Responsibilities • Provides care to patients in accordance with rights and privileges granted through RN licensure and NP certification including, but not limited to, diagnostic and therapeutic assessments, treatment of conditions and illnesses within the scope of practice, referral and follow-up of patients, and other duties as assigned. Serves as a primary care provider to appropriate panel of patients, and acts as patient advocate, • Works closely with collaborating physician and follows the guidelines detailed in the joint protocol for, • NPs and collaborating physicians, • Leads assigned clinical support staff within the patient care team to improve patient care, • Participates in night and weekend call coverage in rotation with other providers as assigned.
