Job Description: We are seeking a reliable and experienced CDL Class A Driver to join our team in Linden, NJ. The successful candidate will be responsible for picking up and dropping off containers from the NY/NJ ports to our yard or to customer locations. This is a key role that requires experience in port operations and a commitment to safety and efficiency. Responsibilities: Safely drive a Class A commercial vehicle, picking up and delivering containers between the NY/NJ ports and designated yard or customer locations. Operate both manual and automatic transmissions as required. Ensure proper loading and unloading of containers. Maintain a clean driving record and adhere to safety protocols at all times. Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers. Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and operational efficiency. Ensure timely deliveries and pickups as scheduled. Maintain accurate logs and records of deliveries and driving hours. Requirements: CDL Class A Driver’s License is required. Must possess a TWIC card (Transportation Worker Identification Credential). 2 years of experience working at ports or in container transportation. Must have experience driving both manual and automatic vehicles. Clean driver’s abstract with a proven track record of safety and reliability. Ability to work efficiently under pressure, meeting deadlines and following schedules. Strong attention to detail and safety-conscious. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, Saturdays as needed. Available for two shifts:5:00 AM - 2:00 PM 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM Pay Rate: $28 - $36 per hour, depending on experience. Overtime may be required, with up to 50 hours a week.
