Job Description ACS System Associates Inc. is currently seeking a Estimator to join our Estimation Department as an integral part of our team. The need is for an HVAC Estimator to evaluating bid specifications and drawings, ensuring that all items required are completed in the field of duct work / piping/ ATC design in regards with HVAC systems. Must be proficient in understanding how to read all versions of CAD drawings and plans, should possess strong communication and coordination skills, and should be self-motivated and detail oriented, with initiative to deliver innovative designs. Job Description Our client, an American door, frame & hardware company offering a complete range of commercial door opening & security products in the USA and beyond since 1972. Looking to hire a Project Manager with experience in Division 8, hollow metal/commercial doors, frames, and hardware. The location is an in-office position to work from our office in Garden City Park, NY. Candidates must have the ability to read and interpret architectural drawings, specifications and to write Request for Quotes to vendors, creation of project cost/selling price, identify errors or conflicts in specs, and communicate with the customers, as needed. Knowledge of industry specific software is a plus but not required. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) is must. They do not perform installations. You will manage all aspects of the project, including the creation of the Submittal Package (Door, Frame & Hardware Schedules), purchase orders and fabrication/listing sheets for our shop and coordinate delivery with the people in the field., • You will be working and communicating with customers and their employees, so professionalism and strong communication skills are a must., • From time to time you will have meetings in-person with the customer or vendor/rep, so a neat and clean appearance is also a must., • Negotiate pricing and agreements with clients, partners, and vendors., • Build relationships with key partners (customers & vendors)., • Maintain and promote a positive attitude toward customers and fellow employees, regardless of the circumstances., • Minimum 3-5 years experience in a Division 8 company – manufacturing, selling or installing commercial doors, frames and hardware with a proven track record as a Project Manager, Estimator or Sales Person., • Strong background in project management, with the ability to successfully oversee multiple projects simultaneously., • Track record of driving business development and achieving revenue targets., • Proficient in negotiating contracts and agreements with clients, partners, and vendors., • Experience in implementing process improvement strategies to enhance operational efficiency., • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and Outlook, etc.) is a must., • Proficiency in Masonites Door Builder software is a plus but not required., • Ability to navigate internet & work with e-mail is a must., • We will train you in our industry-related software for doors, frames & hardware, as needed., • You must be detail-oriented with strong communication & organizational skills and able to see a project through from start to finish.
