Job Description JOB SUMMARY The Service Technician provides In-Field Service Support with regional and national focus. Builds and maintains excellent business relationships with the company’s client base through the offer of world class technical services. PRIMARY FUNCTIONS • Provides field technical support to service and support requests (includes nights and weekends) which include the following:, • Field Decontamination Projects, • Preventive Maintenance and Emergency Servicing of Equipment, • Training and Installation of Equipment, • Provides in-office support of the following:, • Customer support via phone and email, • Production of Consumables, • Maintenance of Decon+ Service Equipment, • Performing Contract Decontamination Service, • Service Reporting, • Field Decontamination Planning, • Spare Parts Management: identifies the range, type, quantity, price and delivery, • Ensures tasks are completed on time and to designated service standards., • Quality control’s the work performed to ensure client needs and expectations are met., • Responds to emergency calls, working with other Field Service Technicians and 3rd party service providers., • Schedules preventative maintenance visits according to multiple parties’ calendars (customers and 3rd party providers)., • Assists in updating service and training documentation while providing on-site customer training sessions., • Assists in tracking of materials and coordinates to ensure parts shipping to client sites are available as required to meet service schedules., • Works with the General Manager and Service Manager to make strategic decisions on maintaining and improving the business position in the marketplace., • Follows all safety rules and quality standards including all company policies and procedures., • Performs job assignments in a safe and productive manner while maintaining high quality levels., • Other duties as assigned. SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS • Skilled in Microsoft Office and associated applications, • High level of professionalism accompanied with excellent interpersonal and customer service skills., • Must have excellent organizational and time management skills, being able to prioritize multiple priorities at one time., • Excellent communication skills, including verbal and written., • Proficient in the safe and effective use of common hand tools required for service and repair tasks., • Excellent and proven technical background. Experience with and understanding of pumps, motors, blowers, and electromechanical systems., • Understanding of electromechanical systems, electrical and HVAC, as well as the ability to diagnose PLC controls., • Ability to work independently and as a team member. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS • Must be able to regularly lift and move up to 50lbs., • Frequently lift and move up to 50lbs., • Occasionally lift and move up to 100lbs., • Push/pull weights of 100lbs +, • Frequently required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to handle and feel, use arms to reach, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk and hear., • Must be able to crouch, stoop, or squat to work inside or under equipment, or move through low headroom spaces., • Able to occasionally work in tight spaces., • Must climb ladders and/or scaffolds and work above floor height., • Requires routine pushing, pulling, grasping, and manual dexterity in the use of hands, arms and shoulders., • Occasionally exposed to wet or humid conditions, fumes and airborne particles, and outdoor weather conditions., • Distance vision/peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus., • Must be able to sit and drive for long periods of time during travel., • Must be able to occasionally walk great lengths at a time and stand for extended periods of time., • Must be able to perform work from floor level to above shoulder height if needed., • Must be able to operate a computer and other office machinery such as a calculator, copy machine and printer., • Travel 50%, • Must be able to be fit tested and use safety equipment to include full-face respirator or PAPR.
