Crossroads Programs, Inc. is seeking highly motivated and compassionate individuals to join our team as a Youth Support Workers | Direct Support Personnel (DSP) in Ewing, NJ. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children, possess excellent communication and problem-solving skills and be committed to providing a safe and nurturing environment for our littles heroes. We have Full-time and Part-time openings available. About Kerri's House Kerri's House is a residential program providing a safe, supportive, and nurturing environment for children between the ages of 5 to 12. Our residents may have experienced trauma, abuse, neglect, or challenging life circumstances. At Kerri's House, we help children heal and grow by providing them with therapeutic care, education, and life training skills. Youth Support Worker | Direct Support Professional (DSP) Job Responsibilities • Providing direct care and support to up to five residents, including supervision, meal preparation and transportation to appointments and activities., • Assist with the development and implementation of individualized treatment for each resident., • Collaborative with team members to ensure consistent and effective delivery of therapeutic care., • Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and other career development activities., • Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits, • 401k, Life & Disability Insurance, • Generous Paid Time Off (PTO), • Paid Training & Career Advancement, • A Great Team Environment, • We offer our team members DailyPay!, • Bachelor’s degree in social work or psychology with one year of experience in direct care for youth in a behavioral health agency or institutional setting., • High School diploma holders with a minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience will also be considered., • A valid driver's license with a clean standing over the past 6 months is required., • Physical & Drug Screening, Criminal Record History, FBI, and Child Abuse History Clearances., • All new hires are required to successfully complete Safety Crisis Management (SCM) certification within one week of hire., • Training Overview: • Duration: The SCM program spans three days. • Is knowledgeable of child development, behavior management, and therapeutic techniques., • Can work both independently and as part of a team., • Will exhibit excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills., • Has a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
