The Clinical Trials Supervisor provides administrative and operational leadership for assigned research units within The Valley Hospital (TVH), including but not limited to Cardiology, Oncology, and Neuroscience. This role ensures the effective and compliant conduct of clinical trials by overseeing daily research operations, supervising research personnel, and serving as a lead study coordinator as needed. This role collaborates with investigators, sponsors, and cross-functional teams to ensure studies are executed with integrity, efficiency, and a focus on patient safety. Occasional travel to off-site locations and participation in investigator meetings or other national research meetings as needed. Weekend and on-call availability may be required. Key Responsibilities • Serve as a study nurse for cardiac and cardiovascular clinical trials, including interventional and observational studies., • Screen, enroll, consent, and educate study participants in accordance with protocol and regulatory requirements., • Perform and coordinate study-related procedures (e.g., ECGs, vitals, blood draws, medication administration, device-related assessments, adverse event monitoring)., • Conduct study visits, follow-ups, and patient assessments per protocol timelines., • Monitor, document, and report adverse events and serious adverse events (SAEs) in collaboration with investigators., • Ensure protocol adherence and accurate source documentation in electronic medical records and research systems., • Collaborate closely with Principal Investigators (PIs), cardiologists, research coordinators, and ancillary departments. We are looking for a motivated, compassionate, forward-thinking Medical Director for the Developmental Pediatrics program at the Valley Hospital in Paramus, NJ. About the Department The Developmental Pediatrics program provides consultation and other professional services as part of the Valley Medical Group and Valley-Mount Sinai Children's Health Service line in northern New Jersey. The Director would lead a team including a physician, nurse practitioner and social workers to provide clinical expertise in early childhood development, behavioral, and psychosocial issues at the Kireker Center for Child Development (KCCD). The KCCD offers a broad spectrum of services, including speech, physical, and occupational therapies. A complete audiology service is also available on-site at the KCCD. Under the direction of the physician, Charge RN or Manager performs direct clinical activities in a courteous, caring and respectful manner. These include patient intake, blood draw, pharmacy calls, EKG and any tests required by the physician. Responsible for accurately documenting in an EMR system in accordance with licensure and VMG policy and procedures. Maintains close working relationships with all practice staff to ensure proper workflow, care and treatment. Performs a variety of essential front desk activities that include greeting, registering, ensuring insurance compliance and collecting appropriate payment at time of service. Responsible for maintaining the daily patient schedule and answers all incoming calls that results in scheduling an appointment, medication refills or pass along inquiries from a clinical or billing nature, in a courteous, caring and respective manner. Coordinates with the clinical staff on any special needs or requirements and ensuring proper patient flow. Supports the Practice and professional staff as directed or requested by Practice Manager. High school diploma or equivalent and completion of a formal Medical Assistant program that is recognized by the State of New Jersey. Certification required. Completion of formal coursework in office management, database management or business. Computer l Previous MA experience in a clinic, physician's office or outpatient setting preferred. Six (6) months of previous customer service/data entry, administrative/office management/clerical experience required. Current and valid certification as a certified medical assistant or registered medical assistant recognized by the Board of Examiners such as American Medical Technology (AMT), American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA), National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) required. BCLS certification preferred upon hire, will be required. Understanding of the operations of a medical practice preferred. Strong orientation towards the provisions of high quality, cost effective and comprehensive medical care. Ability to use effective organizational and time management skills to set priorities and respond quickly to urgent/emergent situations.
