Job Description Reporting to the Asst. Dean/Director of Simulation & Nursing Informatics, the Simulation Coordinator is responsible for the management of simulation lab tasks including but not limited to inventory, preparing for simulation and clinical skills sessions, scheduling the use of the simulation lab, conducting open labs and simulations that meet the needs of the college, ensuring all supplies and equipment are returned after use. Job Description Overview Employed by PAGNY for The Division of Correctional Health Services (CHS) of New York City Health + Hospitals (H+H) is responsible for the delivery of medical care, mental health care, and discharge planning in the jail system. Approximately 25% of new admissions per year to the NYC jail system will receive care on the mental health service. This service strives to provide safe, holistic and evidence-based therapeutic interventions for the diverse range of mental health issues that face the population, from serious mental illness to the natural struggles that accompany incarceration. Job Description Overview Employed by PAGNY for The Division of Correctional Health Services (CHS) of New York City Health + Hospitals (H+H) is responsible for the delivery of medical care, mental health care, and discharge planning in the jail system. Approximately 25% of new admissions per year to the NYC jail system will receive care on the mental health service. This service strives to provide safe, holistic and evidence-based therapeutic interventions for the diverse range of mental health issues that face the population, from serious mental illness to the natural struggles that accompany incarceration. The service provides some of the most comprehensive and unique treatment modalities in the country, including specialty housing units for individuals with serious mental illness, a 24-hour on-call psychiatric service, robust creative arts programming, a strong DBT training program, clinics in each of the facilities, substance use treatment, integrated re- entry services, and relationships with multiple training institutions throughout the city. Responsibilities The Pharmacy Technician performs all technical tasks in the unit dose, carry and out-patient drug distribution systems as well as other related duties of a satellite pharmacy. Primary Responsibilities • Provide long and short-term psychotherapy to children, youth, young adult and adult clients, as well as, collateral family members where appropriate (including crisis intervention) in person onsite or Telehealth as appropriate based on NYS OMH criteria., • Facilitate time limited and ongoing group therapies., • Utilize concurrent documentation in electronic health record (eCR) in compliance with NYS-OMH regulations and N.Y.C. Department of Health and Mental Hygiene requirements to include: periodic assessment scales; progress notes; treatment plan and treatment plan reviews, incident reports, and encounter forms., • Alert immediately the Director and Assistant Clinical Director of reportable incidents and clients at risk behaviors., • Perform other tasks as assigned by direct supervisor., • Collaborate with Case Manager & Peer Advocate on shared clients., • Refer clients to appropriate community resources for case management issues/advocacy, e.g. legal, housing, health, education, vocational, entitlements., • Participate in supervision and interdisciplinary staff meetings., • Meet program productivity benchmarks for billable services as determined by agency standards., • Participate in ongoing professional training for continuing education units and other professional development as mandated by the agency or recommended by supervisor., • Perform other tasks as assigned by direct supervisor., • LMHC, LCSW credentials., • Strong engagement skills and knowledge of mental health conditions and harm reduction recovery., • Experience with children, youth, young adults and adults with awareness of Domestic/Intimate Partner/Gender based Violence issues, as well as, LBGTQ+/gender non-binary or questioning communities, and, communities of color., • Familiarity with a range of therapeutic interventions: play therapy, family therapy, trauma informed care, CBT, DBT, ACT and psychodynamic approaches to treatment., • Alignment with agency standard of ethics, conduct and organization policies., • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with interdisciplinary team to accomplish client goals and adapt to changing program environment., • Ability to prioritize and implement a course of action for handling multiple tasks., • Language skills a plus, e.g. Bilingual Spanish/English.
