SUMMARY The Brooklyn/Staten Island Sports League Coordinator will be the main person in charge on game-days at the game location. They are responsible for the overall coordination of all Brooklyn/Staten Island based New York Edge seasonal sports leagues (occurring on Saturdays) & tournaments (days vary), both in-person & virtually. They will provide ongoing support to all NYE sites within this borough. Support will be provided through both in-person & virtual site visits. The Brooklyn/Staten Island Sports League Coordinator is responsible for managing a cohort of sports league assistants on game days. This role will also be responsible for assisting in training staff for all leagues, as well as assisting with Sports & Wellness Department special events. This is a hybrid position. This position will work out of the NYE HQ in Woodside, NY as well as various Brooklyn/Staten Island based locations where leagues are located. Essential Job Functions: * Coordinate data gathered from the league registration process for all leagues & tournaments among NYE sites. * Assist in creating marketing materials related to leagues & tournaments. * Aid in securing permits for any/all event locations. * Use sports management software to coordinate, create & consistently update all league & tournament schedules, including but not limited to weekly standings. * Coordinate transportation for all participating sites, through creating weekly bus schedules. * Establish & maintain clear communication with all key parties, including but not limited to subcontractors, vendors, volunteers, parents, students and all NYE staff. * Support the review, review & establishment of rules, guidelines & procedures for participation in events. * Assist in ongoing in-person/virtual professional development for all sports league & tournament related staff, including but not limited to rules, guidelines & procedures. * Help to develop & design materials and/or resources related to sports leagues & tournaments. * Directly manage, support & develop a team of staff including sports league borough assistants. * Promote a positive culture & maintain a safe environment for all participants & attendees. * Conduct equipment assessments as needed. * Transport sports league related equipment & supplies to game & event locations. This includes assisting in event set up and breakdown. * Coordinate the collection of attendance at all leagues & tournaments. * Ensure all key parties are following protocols & procedures during leagues & tournaments. * Be liaison between New York Edge After-School Program Directors, Program Managers, Sports Specialists and the Sports and Wellness Department. * Assist in other Sports & Wellness departmental events when needed or assigned. * Lead clinics for students in league/tournament based sports. * Other related duties as assigned by the Director of Sports & Wellness or Sports League Manager. Job Description Position Summary: The Social Service Supervisor provides clinical and administrative oversight of the social service functions at a DHS-funded transitional housing program. The housing program is designed to provide long-term residential care and twenty-four-hour support services in a community environment that maximizes residents' independence while ensuring their physical and emotional security and well-being. This 109-unit residence will provide housing for 39 individuals referred by the NYC Human Resources Administration (HRA), and the remaining 70 units will be apartments for moderate-income households. The Resident Manager is responsible for the supervision of the residents and the overall operation of the residence during designated shifts. S/he will work collaboratively with the Clinical team and the Program Director to ensure that resident needs are being met, as well as the safety of the residence. The successful candidate will have strong communication skills along with experience working with individuals diagnosed with mental illness and/or substance use disorder. Job Description PRIMARY FUNCTION/PURPOSE: The core responsibility of the Residential Aide (RA) includes the continued assurance of support and care to clients residing in the shelter. Job Description As a Client Services Representative (CSR) at the Animal Medical Center, duties will include but may not be limited to keeping accurate medical records, clerical work, client education, and support of the Director of Clinical Services, Client Services Managers, and other team members. This position requires practical knowledge of hospital procedures, policies and services; client and patient treatment protocols; data transcribing and word processing; and the standard procedures, records and terminology used in the veterinary hospital. CSRs work with the entire AMC team to promote a positive attitude and an environment of patient and client-centered service, continuous quality improvement, compliance with AAHA Standards and other statutory requirements. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: • Acknowledge and cheerfully greet all clients and visitors in a professional and timely fashion., • Proficiently register and check-in new and returning clients and patients and appropriately providing client with and process all forms and other paperwork required for intake and discharge of animals., • Appropriately triage emergency cases and send follow-up communication., • Schedule follow-up, reschedule, and cancel patient appointments using Instinct EMR., • Handle all financial transactions and reconcile client files as needed – including auditing invoices prior to clients/patients discharging from the hospital; Reconcile the financial transactions each day – including end of day and end of month., • Offer alternative payment options to clients such as Care Credit and AMC payment plans. Terms for both options must be explained to client to ensure client is aware of all conditions and agreements., • Efficiently and appropriately communicate ongoing projects from shift to shift, co-worker to co-worker., • Appropriately assist patients in getting medications refilled., • Maintain the confidentiality, security, and physical safety of all patient medical records in addition to collecting, scanning, processing, maintaining, storing, timely retrieve, and distributing medical records., • Maintain the client services area and clinic reception area in accordance with safety and infection control guidelines., • Courteously accepting other job duties as assigned., • Conduct oneself in a confident and professional manner even when stressed and/or focused on individual tasks., • Must have basic knowledge of office procedures and machines., • Proficient knowledge and competency of MS Office (especially Outlook)., • Must possess excellent telephone skills and make a positive first impression on patients and visitors to the clinic., • College degree preferred but must have High School diploma or equivalent.
