Job Description Marketing & Sales Associate (Part-Time) — Play Big Zone Location: On-site at Play Big Zone — 300 Campus Drive, Unit H, Morganville, NJ 07751 (with flexible remote hours for content and outreach work) Hours: 15–20 hours/week, flexible around your class schedule Compensation: $16–$20/hour + commission on bookings and events you close Who it's for: Current college sophomores, juniors, seniors — and recent grads welcome too Turn your big ideas into real revenue. Play Big Zone is growing — and we're about to open a brand-new 200-person event venue right next door. We need a high-energy, creative self-starter to help us fill both spaces with people having an amazing time. If you light up a room, think in ideas instead of to-do lists, and want marketing and sales experience you can actually put on your resume, this is your spot. About us Play Big Zone (PBZ) is a 10,000 sq ft family entertainment center in Morganville, NJ home to obstacle courses, bumper cars, a laser maze, GellyBall, VR pods, arcade games, and unforgettable birthday parties. Right next door, we're opening a brand-new event space: 23-ft ceilings, programmable mood lighting, and room for up to 200 guests, built for parties, concerts, fundraisers, networking nights, and social events. You'll help one company across two spaces reach more people than ever. What success looks like In your first few months, you'll have built a steady stream of social content that actually gets engagement, sent email campaigns that bring people through the door, and personally booked group events and venue rentals you sourced yourself. You'll own real campaigns and watch the results show up on our calendar. What you'll do • Create and post social content (Reels, Stories, posts) that makes people want to come play and celebrate with us, • Plan and send email campaigns to past guests, local families, and organizations, • Pitch and book group events for PBZ: schools, sports teams, scout troops, camps, daycares, and youth organizations, • Generate leads and sell our new event space to event planners, local businesses, nonprofits, and community groups, • Bring out-of-the-box ideas: promos, partnerships, events, and campaigns we haven't thought of yet, • Track what's working with simple reporting and share results with the team What we're looking for Required: • Currently enrolled (sophomore year or beyond) or a recent grad, • Outgoing and genuinely comfortable talking to people — in person, on the phone, and online, • A creative thinker who brings ideas, not just execution, • Reliable, organized, and able to work independently, • Comfortable with social platforms (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook) Preferred (nice to have): • A love for event planning and organizing — bringing people together is a big part of this role, • Coursework or experience in marketing, communications, business, or sales, • Basic design skills (Canva is plenty), • Experience running social accounts or sending email campaigns, • Reliable transportation to Morganville What's in it for you • Competitive hourly pay ($16–$20/hr) plus commission on the events you close, • A flexible schedule built around your classes, • Real ownership of marketing and sales campaigns — the kind of portfolio and resume experience most internships don't offer, • Free play and team perks at PBZ, • A fun, fast-moving environment where your ideas actually get used Play Big Zone is an equal opportunity employer.
