Job Description Intensive In-Home Counselor Talk About It provides Intensive In-Community (IIC) counseling services to families in NJ that are connected to PerformCare, the Contracted System Administrator (CSA) for NJ’s Children’s System of Care (CSOC). We are currently accepting applications for NJ Licensed Level clinicians. Applicants interested to work as an IIC in the Middlesex, Essex, Passaic, Union, Monmouth, Ocean, and Hudson with the following (or equivalent) credentials are welcome to apply: Licensed Social Work (Supervision offered towards LCSW) Licensed Professional Counselor, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Clinical Psychologist or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in good standing. Therapist’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following: • Provide in-home counseling to youth (ranging from 5-21 years of age) and/or their families., • Demonstrate competency in the knowledge and skills that are necessary to meet clients’ psychological and social needs, • Timely maintenance of accurate and clinically relevant documentation, • Travel to meet with youth and their families in their homes, • Attend scheduled meetings relating to treatment planning, • Interact professionally and respectfully with clients, families, staff members, and care managers, • Plan accordingly for termination and communicating plans clearly to clients, families, staff, and care managers, • Maintain confidentiality of records as related to HIPAA, professional ethics, and agencies policies and procedures, • Provide crisis intervention as necessary, • Conduct and document Biopsychosocial assessments, • Requires own automobile for travel, • Teach youth and caregivers strategies to help manage maladaptive behaviors and high-risk behaviors while helping the family to develop healthier family dynamics, • To deliver evidence-based practices in compliance with agency policies and regulations., • Participate and collaborate with each member of the child-family team (CFT) which may consist of, but is not limited to, behavioral assistants, mentors, psychiatrists, teachers, care managers, DCP&P, school administration, and other community resources., • Willingness to conduct in-person sessions will be a distinct advantage for applicants due to the increase in demand, • Following Specializations/Skills are a plus:, • Trauma related therapy, • Racial trauma, • Working with youth with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities, • Multilingual, • Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LCADC), • Working with youth from diverse ethnic backgrounds, • Sexualized Behavior, • LGBTQIA+ Job Type: Part-time Pay starting at $75.00 per hour.
