We are currently seeking a Legal Practice Innovation Specialist to support the Firm’s practice innovation, knowledge management, and legal technology initiatives. This role is designed for a legally trained professional pursuing a non‑traditional legal career path at the intersection of law, technology, and process improvement. This is not a traditional paralegal or legal assistant role, nor is it a practicing attorney position. Rather, it is a professional‑level role focused on improving how attorneys work through thoughtful application of AI, legal technology, and workflow design. The Role The Legal Practice Innovation Specialist will work closely with partners, Firm leadership, attorneys, IT, and operations to help modernize legal service delivery across the Firm. The role offers hands‑on exposure to AI tools, workflow development, and firmwide innovation strategy within a market‑leading real estate law practice. This is an entry‑to‑mid‑level position (1–3 years of experience) with meaningful responsibility, visibility, and growth potential. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES • Support firmwide practice innovation initiatives by analyzing and streamlining recurring legal workflows, • Develop, organize, and maintain templates, model documents, playbooks, AI agents, and prompt libraries used across practice groups, • Document legal workflows and best practices to promote consistency, efficiency, and knowledge sharing, • Research and evaluate emerging legal technology and AI tools, and assess their application within the Firm, • Support AI pilots and technology initiatives, including testing, internal documentation, and attorney feedback, • Assist with legal technology vendor evaluations, demonstrations, and implementation planning, • Prepare training materials, demonstrations, and reference guides to support attorney adoption of new tools, • Track innovation initiatives and assist with measuring adoption and impact, • Maintain organized repositories of innovation‑related documentation and resources, • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced legal education or equivalent professional legal experience strongly preferred, • 1–3 years of experience in a law firm, legal operations, legal technology, knowledge management, or professional services environment, • Prior legal experience required; real estate exposure is a plus, • Familiarity with AI tools, automation, or legal technology (generative AI, prompt engineering, workflow tools); certifications are a plus, • Ability to translate legal concepts into practical workflows, templates, and technology‑enabled tools, • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills, • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technology to attorneys and legal professionals, • Highly organized, proactive, and capable of managing multiple projects in a fast‑paced environment, • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and related productivity tools, • Intellectual curiosity and a strong interest in the future of legal practice Why Join BBG?
