The Role As a Staff Software Engineer, you’ll serve as a technical leader and force multiplier across our engineering organization. This is a senior individual contributor role with outsized scope. You’ll own complex, high-impact systems, set technical direction, and elevate the engineers around you. Your work will shape the foundation of our platform and help Arch scale to meet the demands of a rapidly growing client base. Key responsibilities: * Architect and drive complex, cross-functional technical initiatives from conception to production, with a focus on scalability and long-term maintainability. * Set technical direction for core platform systems, making informed trade-offs to ensure performance, security, and reliability at scale. * Partner with product, design, and data teams to define and deliver high-impact features end to end, influencing roadmap decisions with technical insight. * Mentor and level up engineers across the team through code reviews, design discussions, and hands-on technical guidance. * Identify and resolve systemic engineering challenges, including technical debt, infrastructure gaps, and cross-team bottlenecks that impact velocity.
