Job Description Since 2009, The Dorm has been a mission-driven, client-centered mental health organization that has been bringing comprehensive, evidence-based treatment to young adults, ages 18-30. We are looking for a passionate Assistant Director of Outreach & Admissions to join our multidisciplinary New York City team and contribute to our goal of making a difference. The Assistant Director of Outreach & Admissions plays a key role in connecting young adults and their families to care. In this role, you’ll build meaningful relationships with clinicians, universities, hospitals, and community partners while guiding prospective clients through the first steps of the admissions process. You’ll blend outreach and admissions support to create a smooth, supportive experience for young adults and families beginning their path to treatment. We blend individualized therapy and skills coaching, hands-on family work, group-based clinical support and a bustling community and social Clubhouse experience unseen elsewhere in our industry. What You Will Do: • Build and maintain strong relationships with a diversified mix of mental health providers including hospitals, universities, and individual providers to establish and strengthen relationships with the goal of generating qualified admissions inquiries., • Oversee outreach documentation and reporting, analyzing referral activity and conversion metrics to guide strategy and ensure outreach efforts lead to admissions., • Conduct targeted outreach that directly translates into admissions by engaging partners who consistently refer at our level of care., • Represent The Dorm at networking events, conferences, CEU workshops, and community presentations to increase visibility and referral activity., • Lead team-to-team meetings, lunch-and-learns, and program tours to highlight our treatment model and admissions process., • Answer and manage incoming inquiries from families, clinicians, and professionals, guiding them through the admissions process with warmth and clarity., • Support admissions by completing initial inquiry screens, gathering key information on presenting concerns, safety needs, and general fit for The Dorm’s level of care., • Facilitate meet-and-greets, tours, and in-person admissions appointments to support real-time engagement and help families move smoothly through the admissions process., • Support urgent outreach and admissions needs such as walk-ins, same-day tours, or time-sensitive engagements with professional referral partners and families., • Track and manage the full admissions pipeline from inquiry through admission, ensuring strong follow-through and alignment with key conversion metrics., • Maintain accurate CRM documentation for outreach, referral communication, and admissions follow-up., • Collaborate with marketing on outreach-related campaigns, presentations, and co-marketing opportunities., • Collaborate with clinical leadership regarding prospective clients to facilitate the admission process., • Support additional outreach or admissions projects as needed to meet organizational goals. What You Need to Qualify: • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred., • Experience in outreach, admissions, community engagement, business development, or behavioral health., • Candidates with clinical experience are strongly preferred., • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to connect with clinicians and families, including during emotionally sensitive conversations., • Highly organized, proactive, and able to manage multiple responsibilities across outreach and admissions., • Comfort using CRM platforms to track and manage outreach activities, • Ability to travel regionally as needed., • Flexible availability, including occasional evenings or weekends., • Ability to work onsite five days per week, including in-person outreach meetings in the field as needed.
