Job Description The Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the manufacturing facility to ensure that production processes run efficiently, safely, and cost-effectively, while meeting all quality standards and production schedules. This role involves strategic planning, team leadership, resource management, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. From advanced surface preparation to highly technical finishing processes, we can handle the smallest pieces to large parts over 30 feet long. Our three shifts of skilled professionals in our 125,000 square foot facility have made us the vendor of choice for metal finishing for Northeastern United States. Whether it is electroplating, electroless plating, wet paint, or powder coat, we finish it right the first time! Role Objectives: • Oversee the production process and coordinate all activities to ensure sufficient resources to meet company goals and objectives., • Identifying potential problems and points of friction, and working to find solutions in order to maximize efficiency and revenue., • Establish and maintain excellent employee relations among all personnel., • Promote a spirit of cooperation between all departments, • Inspire and motivate employees to perform at their best through positive encouragement, incentive initiatives, and/or discipline, as needed., • Provide leadership to ensure effective utilization of company personnel, equipment, and materials., • Plan employees' schedules, estimate costs, and coordinate with management team to ensure workflow meets required deadlines., • Monitor current and promote new procedures to reduce costs and improve product quality., • Collaborate with management team on implementation of improvements., • Implement policies and strategies to improve productivity and efficiency levels, and to build an enjoyable company culture., • Ideate and implement strategic improvements for production, quality, and labor utilization throughout the facility., • Implement and monitor controls throughout the production process to reduce human error., • Apply lean manufacturing principles in designing and enforcing processes that achieve organizational goals., • Promote teamwork amongst management team through exchange of ideas, cross training, and effective communication. Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field preferred but not required., • Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in a manufacturing environment with at least 3 years in a management or supervisory role., • Technical knowledge: Strong working knowledge of manufacturing processes, production planning, and inventory control., • Software proficiency: Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software, Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), and data analysis tools., • Exceptional organizational and time management abilities., • Excellent analytical and mathematical abilities.
