Job Description Title: Coordinator of Advocacy Salary: $63,000 annually Status: Exempt/Salaried, 40 hours per week Supervisor: Associate Director of Center for Victim Support Services (CVSS) Function: Under the direction of the Associate Director, coordinates and supervises assigned program activities in accordance with agency policies and procedures; supervises direct service staff; and develops program initiatives to increase the capacity of the agency to fulfill its mission. Qualifications: • BA or MA in Human Services or minimum of 5 years relevant experience including supervisory., • Training and experience in program management and personnel relations. Position Responsibilities: * Takes an active role as part of the Leadership Team for the Center for Victim Safety and Support attending weekly and monthly leadership meetings sharing ideas and input for team growth and program development and organization. * Provides overall coordination and oversight of daily program activities (scheduling, ensuring coverage for client appointments, ensuring quality of services and documentation, etc.) in accordance with agency and program policies and procedures. * Provided supervision, direction and guidance to direct service staff working with victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, and other crimes so that clients and the community receive timely, appropriate services. * Assists with recruiting, interviewing, recommending or hiring, and maintaining of adequate staff. * Participation in on-call rotation. * Generates and maintains required records, reports and statistical data for program and ensure that all supervisees comply with agency policy and procedures and meet deadlines in a timely manner. * Review and ensure all staff documentation including daily and monthly activity reports, timecards, and client data is accurate and complies with funding sources’ standards. * Facilitates staff development through supervision, working with other supervisors to ensure all staff are appropriately trained to meet agency requirements, all regulations and funding requirements. * In conjunction with the Associate Director, facilitates program development and new initiatives including grant writing related to assigned programs and agency initiatives. * Participate in program outreach to the community and expand service reach by researching community organizations and providing community outreach through presentations * Assist with fundraisers and special events (some of these may be outside agency hours of operation) * Maintains quality assurance procedures, including creation of policy and procedure manuals, monitoring and evaluating the quality of services and programs. All crisis situations should be communicated to the appropriate Case Manager for follow up., • Submit work orders and report identified maintenance issues and other problems to the appropriate facilities staff., • Conduct bed checks as required and room inspections as requested as well as upon program entry and exit., • Conduct “on-foot” monitoring of building and grounds inside and outside and on perimeters of the property on a routine basis., • Provide general administrative support: assisting walk-in’s, answering telephones (including After Hours Emergency Placement phone line at HRL), scanning, copying, faxing, filing and deliveries, etc. Monitor copy machines for toner levels and assist with ordering when needed., • Document all daily activity in the log book, calendar and complete the Shift Change Report., • Attend and participate in regularly scheduled staff meetings., • Assist in planning efforts to evaluate program’s effectiveness, helping to identify needs and trends, and assist in developing strategies to overcome challenges and enhance program quality., • Complete and submit Incident Reports immediately as they occur, and all must be submitted and distributed prior to the end of any shift worked., • Maintain tenant/guest confidentiality at all times while at work as well as outside of work., • Maintain front office and lobby neatness., • Ensure property cleanliness and safety through constant monitoring and by completing the daily Safety Check List., • Perform daily housekeeping duties of the front office and lobby area., • Monitor building systems, including: security cameras and fire alarm., • Maintain visitor sign in and sign out records accurately., • Assist in kitchen and breakfast as needed., • Provide emergency on-call coverage. Responsibilities • Delivers safe care to assigned patients, while developing technical competencies, • Recognizes overt abnormal signs and symptoms and/or changes in patients' condition and responds appropriately, • Completes initial assessment of patient condition and response to treatment and initiates follow-up as needed, • Includes the patient and family/significant other in developing the initial plan of care and establishing goals, • Revises plan of care according to evaluations of patient's responses and outcomes, • Uses the Computerized Patient Record System (CPRS) and the Bar Coded Medication Administration (BCMA) software per policy, • Ensures that all JHACO standards for professional nursing care are met during performance of care, • Completes appropriate medical record forms in compliance with VA guidelines and policies on each patient, • Verifies the content and correctness of all recorded entries in patient record; all documentation/records/reports must meet or exceed established VA standards to include, but not limited to: timeliness, legibility, accuracy, content, and signature; outpatient records shall be completed the same day the patient is seen, • Demonstrates sensitivity to cultural diversity, race, gender, and other individual differences in the workforce, in the Veteran population, and in the community, • Holds a diploma, Associate Degree or Bachelor of Science in Nursing from an accredited program, college, or university and hold a current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in any State; a Bachelor’s degree is preferred, • Has been practicing actively as an RN in an acute or long-term setting for at least the last two years, • Is capable of providing complex and comprehensive nursing care for adult medical and surgical patients, • Has and maintains current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, • Has no health or physical disability restrictions that interfere with performance of assigned duties, • Sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, twist, and reach above shoulders during the work shift, • Lift up to 50 lbs from floor to waist, • Lift up to 20 lbs, • Carry up to 40 lbs a reasonable distance Powered by JazzHR u3AjfrtSv1
