Job Description Rumble is a high-growth video platform and cloud services provider that is creating an independent infrastructure. Our mission is to restore the internet to its roots by making it free and open once again. About the Role Rumble Cloud is seeking a Kubernetes Engineer to support our team in rolling out and operating our next-generation Kubernetes platform. This role will focus on our new CAPI/CAPO-based Kubernetes solution, which is designed to be compatible with our existing OpenStack Magnum API and will be deployed across our public cloud. You will help run the day-to-day operations of the Kubernetes service, assist with migrations and onboarding from our current Magnum-based offering, and act as an escalation point for complex customer issues that go beyond front-line support. This is a hands-on engineering role for someone who enjoys debugging difficult problems, improving reliability, and working closely with both platform engineers and customer-facing teams. Key Responsibilities * Operate and maintain Rumble Cloud's Kubernetes platform, including our new CAPI/CAPO-based installation and its integration with the OpenStack Magnum API. * Assist in the rollout, migration, and upgrade processes as customers transition from the existing Magnum-based solution to the new platform. * Serve as an escalation point for customer support, troubleshooting complex Kubernetes and cluster lifecycle issues. * Monitor the health, performance, and capacity of Kubernetes clusters and underlying infrastructure; assist in incident response and root cause analysis. * Implement and maintain day-2 operations processes, including backup/restore, scaling, patching, and cluster upgrades. * Collaborate with the Kubernetes Architect to implement standards, best practices, and reference patterns for cluster configuration and operations. * Help manage and integrate container registries, identity, networking, and storage components required for the Kubernetes platform. * Automate repetitive operational tasks using scripting and infrastructure-as-code tools. * Contribute to and maintain runbooks, documentation, and knowledge base articles for both internal teams and customer-facing support. * Provide feedback from operations and customer interactions to influence platform improvements and product roadmap. Required Skills & Experience * Extensive experience in Linux systems engineering, cloud engineering, or platform/SRE roles, including hands-on work with Kubernetes in production environments. * Practical experience with installing, operating, and troubleshooting Kubernetes in production environments. * Experience working with Kubernetes on OpenStack or other cloud providers. * Familiarity with Cluster API (CAPI) and/or Cluster API Provider OpenStack (CAPO), or strong willingness to ramp up quickly. * Strong understanding of Linux, containers, and container runtimes (e.g., Docker, containerd). * Experience with Kubernetes networking, storage, and ingress concepts (CNI, CSI, load balancers, ingress controllers). * Hands-on experience with scripting and automation (e.g., Bash, Python, or Go) for operational tasks. * Familiarity with configuration management and IaC tools such as Ansible and Terraform. * Experience with monitoring and logging in Kubernetes environments (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/Graylog, or similar). * Strong troubleshooting skills, clear written documentation, and effective communication with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Nice to Have (Preferred Skills) * Experience with OpenStack Magnum and its Kubernetes integrations. * Experience operating Kubernetes on other public cloud platforms (EKS, AKS, GKE). * Knowledge of Ceph, S3-compatible storage, and their use with Kubernetes. * Understanding of application architectures on Kubernetes, including microservices and 12-factor applications. * Exposure to CI/CD toolchains (e.g., Git, GitLab/Jenkins, Artifactory, etc.) for containerized workloads. * Experience with security hardening and best practices for Kubernetes (RBAC, PodSecurity, network policies, image scanning). About the Role: Reporting to the Senior Director of Platform Initiatives, the Director of Platform Initiatives is responsible for influencing the bank & vendor roadmap strategy and owning the"how"—translating the vision into functional workflows, managing the integration of payment rails, and optimizing back-office operations. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who can collaborate across technical and operations teams to turn complex ideas into live, scalable payment solutions. This role will serve as the primary operational liaison and point of contact for banking and payment vendors, ensuring current partnerships are optimized and new partners are identified to support the company’s scale. Responsibilities: * Vendor & Bank Relationship Management: Serve as the primary operational point of contact for bank partners and payment vendors. Manage daily relationship health, resolve escalated operational issues, and ensure partners are meeting performance and service level expectations. * Strategic Sourcing & Scaling: Proactively identify and evaluate new banks and vendors to optimize costs, increase rail redundancy, and unlock new platform capabilities. Lead the tactical onboarding and operational integration of these new partners into the PRTH ecosystem. * Execute High-Priority Initiatives: Lead the day-to-day implementation of 3-5 cross-functional projects, such as the technical rollout of new payment rails (FedNow, RTP), centralizing ledger workflows, and executing optimization sprints. * Operational Implementation: Transform strategic proposals into actionable project plans. Identify specific bottlenecks in payment flows and implement automation or procedural changes to improve efficiency. * Mapping & Taxonomy: Maintain and refine the Operations functional taxonomy strategy to ensure business continuity and scalability. * Cross-Functional Partnership: Act as the primary operational liaison between GTM, Product, and Engineering teams to ensure new partner integrations and products launch with smooth settlement and reconciliation processes. * Subject Matter Expertise: Maintain a deep, "in-the-weeds" understanding of end-to-end settlement flows, transaction lifecycles, and cross-system data requirements. * Market & Program Research: Conduct tactical research on emerging payment technologies and vendor capabilities to support the Senior Director’s strategic roadmap. * Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of Project Managers and Analysts, focusing on high-quality execution and timely delivery of platform milestones. What Success Looks Like: * Act as the single point of accountability for the operational health of bank and vendor relationships. * Maintain a proactive and well-reasoned point of view on the evolution of PRTH’s payment architecture; identifying rails & vendors that strengthen our operational capabilities and eliminate single points of failure and where strategic redundancies are needed. * Successfully led the full-lifecycle integration of new vendors and bank partners from contract signature to "Go-Live". * Owning the execution of special bank/vendor projects, with a specific focus on growing our Issuing Bank relationships. Candidate Requirements: Required Skills: * 5+ years of relevant work experience, with at least 4 years at a Card Brand, large Payments Company, or high-growth fintech. * Direct experience in payment operations, specifically in transaction processing, settlement, or merchant acquiring. * Execution-Focused Leadership: Demonstrated ability to take a defined project scope and lead it through testing, launch, and post-live stabilization. * Technical Literacy: Strong understanding of how payment systems "talk" to one another (APIs, ISO messages, and ledgering logic). * Problem-Solving: Highly motivated by tactical challenges and able to navigate changing environments with a focus on "getting it done." * Project Management: Excellent attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously without losing track of minor technical requirements. * Communication: Ability to create clear operational status decks and "storytell" project progress to leadership. Preferred Skills: * Multi-rail experience: Hands-on experience with ACH, Wire, and Real-Time Rails (RTP/FedNow). * Acquiring/Processing: Previous experience in merchant acquiring or payment processing. * Financial Operations: Experience in lending operations, accounting, or complex multi-party reconciliation. About the Role We’re looking for a Senior QA Engineer to lead quality assurance across Made’s mobile and web platforms. You’ll be responsible for defining scalable QA practices, expanding automated test coverage, and integrating testing into our CI/CD pipeline. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on ensuring reliability at scale, enjoys mentoring teammates, and wants to build QA culture and systems from the ground up. What You’ll Do * Test Strategy: Define, develop, and execute test strategies, plans, and cases to ensure high-quality software releases. * Manual & Automated Testing: Conduct rigorous testing across frontend (Flutter) and backend (Python/Postgres/DynamoDB/Redis) systems. * Automation: Build and maintain automated test scripts using tools like Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright. * API Testing: Validate backend services and integrations with tools such as Postman or RestAssured. * Bug Tracking: Identify, document, and track defects through to resolution in issue tracking systems. * Regression Testing: Perform regression testing for new releases and ensure backward compatibility. * CI/CD Integration: Collaborate with engineers to expand test coverage and integrate QA processes into CI/CD pipelines (Kubernetes/Docker/AWS). * QA Leadership: Mentor junior QA engineers and advocate for QA best practices across engineering.
