Who We’re Hiring: As a Fleet Driver, you will be part of Ride Health’s Fleet Management Team, responsible for safely transporting passengers to and from medical appointments, adult support facilities, and retail pharmacies. Fleet Drivers play a critical role in providing freedom, dignity, and reliable access to care for our clients. Applicants must be able to reliably report to Staten Island-based assignments. Responsibilities: • Operate company vehicles to safely transport passengers to and from assigned destinations, • Maintain punctual and reliable attendance for scheduled routes and assignments, • Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance or safety issues promptly, • Monitor passengers at all times to ensure safe, comfortable ride conditions, • Provide special assistance when boarding, exiting, or securing passengers, including wheelchair securement, • Transfer riders into vehicle seats or properly utilize wheelchair securement systems, • Maintain vehicle cleanliness and sanitation, including adherence to illness prevention protocols, • Utilize Ride Health’s trip management and mobile applications accurately and consistently, • Communicate route issues, passenger concerns, or service disruptions to dispatch immediately, • Ensure all onboard equipment is functioning properly and report malfunctions promptly, • Administer first aid when necessary, within the scope of training, • Observe all state, federal, and Ride Health safety regulations and policies, • Report accidents, incidents, and citations and complete all required documentation in a timely manner, • Respond professionally and calmly in emergency or high-stress situations, • Participate in required drug and alcohol testing, meetings, and training sessions, • Maintain HIPAA compliance and protect passenger confidentiality at all times, • Perform duties in extreme weather conditions and for extended periods as required, • Travel to alternate locations to perform job duties when needed, • Must be at least 23 years of age (insurance requirement), • High school diploma or GED required, • Valid CDL (Class C) with passenger endorsement, • Clean driving record with no more than one minor violation in the past 39 months, • Ability to pass or provide a current NYDOT Medical Examiner’s A-19 Form (DS-874), • First Aid and CPR certification (current certificate required prior to hire), • Willingness and ability to report for duty in Staten Island or Westchester, NY, • Ability to pass pre-employment, random, post-accident, and periodic drug/alcohol testing, • Physical Requirements, • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally, • Ability to push or pull up to 150 pounds (wheelchair weight), • Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, and sit for extended periods, • Preferred Qualifications, • Previous business-related or professional driving experience, • Experience in Non-Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT), • Working knowledge of GPS-enabled fleet systems, • Strong time management, multitasking, and problem-solving skills, • Compensation $22 - $24 per hour plus a rich benefits offering, • Career advancement opportunities, • Paid Time Off, • Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance with multiple great plan options and generous company contribution, • Life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, • 401k retirement savings plan with 4% fully vested employer match, • Fully paid parental leave, • And we're always looking to add more...
