Job DescriptionSalary: Contract Position | Mobile Unit Program New Brunswick Counseling Center (NBCC) is a CARF-accredited, nonprofit provider of outpatient substance use and mental health services. We deliver respectful, high-quality care that supports recovery and wellness across our communities. NBCC is seeking a Certified Nurse Practitioner (FNP/ANP) to join our Opioid Treatment Program (OTP) on a contract basis, supporting our Mobile Unit Program based out of our New Brunswick location. This is a meaningful opportunity to work alongside a dedicated team of medical and behavioral health professionals to provide compassionate, evidence-based care for individuals receiving treatment for opioid use disorder (OUD). Our Approach We provide care that is trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and patient-centered, grounded in dignity, safety, and collaboration. Key Responsibilities • Oversee and ensure nursing services and program operations comply with state and federal OTP regulations and NBCC policies, • Supervise and evaluate program nurses to maintain consistent, high standards of clinical care, • Ensure appropriate nursing and medication administration coverage during clinic operating hours, • Conduct comprehensive admission and annual medical assessments, including medical, mental health, and substance use histories, • Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests (e.g., TB, HIV, Hepatitis) and follow up as clinically appropriate, • Monitor and support medical needs of clients who are pregnant, HIV-positive, or medically complex, • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to support individualized treatment plans, • Triage clients for medical supervision or external referral; track outcomes and complete follow-ups, • Administer medications for OUD, including injectables when clinically appropriate, • Prescribe medications to address substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders within scope and program protocols, • Monitor clients on psychotropic medications for adverse reactions/side effects and respond appropriately, • Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant documentation per regulatory standards, • MSN from an accredited institution, • Current New Jersey RN license and certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) or Adult Nurse Practitioner (ANP), • New Jersey prescriptive authority (or eligibility to obtain), • Eligible to prescribe buprenorphine for OUD treatment in accordance with current federal and NJ requirements, • Current CPR/AED certification At NBCC, were committed to quality, client-centered care with a focus on recovery, dignity, and respect.
