Summary: We are seeking an experienced Business Process Engineering Project Manager with extensive experience in the HVAC industry to lead operational improvements, engineering projects, and vendor coordination. This role will be responsible for analyzing current business processes and operational practices, identifying gaps and inefficiencies, and developing practical engineering and business solutions that improve performance, reliability, and cost efficiency. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in HVAC systems, project management, and operational process improvement, and will regularly collaborate with HVAC equipment suppliers, contractors, and internal stakeholders to deliver high-quality outcomes. Responsibilities: Process & Operational Improvement: Evaluate existing engineering, operational, and business processes within HVAC-related projects and facility operations. Identify gaps, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement across engineering workflows, procurement, project delivery, and service operations. Develop and implement improved processes, operational frameworks, and best practices to enhance productivity and performance. Lead initiatives that optimize HVAC system design, installation, commissioning, and lifecycle management. Business Process & Strategic Support: Work with senior leadership to align engineering initiatives with business goals and operational needs. Support development of capital project plans and cost analysis for HVAC infrastructure investments. Implement data-driven performance metrics and operational reporting. Project Management: Manage HVAC engineering and infrastructure projects from planning through implementation and completion. Coordinate cross-functional teams including engineering, procurement, operations, and external contractors. Establish project scope, schedules, budgets, and deliverables while ensuring compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements. Track project milestones, manage risks, and ensure successful project outcomes. Vendor & Contractor Coordination: Serve as the primary technical liaison with HVAC vendors, equipment suppliers, and installation contractors. Evaluate vendor capabilities and support vendor selection processes. Review equipment specifications, proposals, and technical documentation. Ensure vendors and contractors meet project requirements, schedules, and quality standards. Engineering & Technical Leadership: Provide subject matter expertise in HVAC systems including air handling, chillers, boilers, controls, and building automation systems. Support troubleshooting and root cause analysis for operational and system performance issues. Develop engineering solutions that improve system efficiency, reliability, and maintainability. Requirements for this role: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Process Engineering, related engineering discipline or exceptional industry experience will be considered. Eight to ten years of experience in HVAC engineering, project management, or facilities engineering. Demonstrated experience working with HVAC equipment vendors, suppliers, and contractors. Strong experience in process improvement, operational analysis, and business practice optimization. Proven ability to manage complex engineering projects and cross-functional teams. Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, equipment selection, and installation practices. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Experience with large commercial, industrial, or institutional HVAC systems. Familiarity with building automation systems and energy efficiency programs. This position will be paying a competitive fulltime salary of $135,000 - $175,000 plus a comprehensive benefits package.
