We are seeking a kind and compassionate home health aide who has excellent communication and companionship skills to provide basic medical care, light housekeeping duties, personal care, and hygiene tasks so our patients are empowered to live happily at home. You must have 1-3 years of experience in home health implementing care plans, and make your patients’ health and safety your first priority. If this sounds like the perfect job for you, please apply today!Compensation: $24 - $26 hourly Responsibilities: • Complete basic medical tasks such as taking vital signs, measuring glucose and ketone levels, replacing bandages and dressings, and ensuring the proper use of medical devices, • Perform light housekeeping tasks including but not limited to bed making, laundry, vacuuming, etc., • Travel with patients to health care service providers, doctors’ offices, grocery stores, or for other errands, as needed, • Help patients accomplish personal care tasks like scheduling appointments, calling doctors’ offices, and coordinating Medicare and other insurance details, • Oversee medication tasks such as opening bottles, organizing self-administered dosing and arranging refills; and assist with meal preparation and planning, • Provide compassionate companionship and emotional support to patients, ensuring they feel valued and understood., • Monitor and report changes in patients' health status to the healthcare team, fostering proactive and responsive care., • Perform light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe environment, enhancing patients' comfort and well-being., • Administer basic medical care under supervision, such as checking vital signs, to ensure patients' health is closely monitored. Qualifications: • Conclusion of home health aide training programs from community colleges are acceptable - Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA) is a bonus, • Must have 1-3 years of experience as a personal caregiver, HHA/ home health aide, nursing assistant, or personal care aid for a home health agency at patient homes or care facilities setting, • Excellent communication and organizational skills are valuable, as is a compassionate, empathetic, and kind personality, • Current CPR certification and first aid training is needed and you must be able to pass a full employment background check, drug test, and physical, • A valid state driver’s license, reliable transportation, and current auto insurance is required About Company Spero Hospice is a group of dedicated, hardworking professionals who understand that individuals and families entering hospice care may feel scared, overwhelmed, sad, or unsure.
