Job DescriptionSimulmedia is hiring a Chief Commercial Officer to lead sales, marketing, and commercial strategy at a defining moment for television, and for the company that has led TV’s evolution longer than anyone else. Reporting directly to Founder and CEO Dave Morgan, this role will work in close partnership with the CFO and the Chief Product and Technology Officer to align revenue strategy with product innovation, data science, technology, and financial discipline. This is a complex, enterprise, client-directed sale. Success requires deep fluency in streaming and linear TV, data, insights, technology, and measurement, plus the ability to translate sophisticated capabilities into clear, compelling value for CMOs, CEOs, and analytically driven marketing teams. The CCO must be a leader who sets the bar by example, owning strategy, closing key deals, working in the field, and coaching sellers in real time.This role is for a builder and a doer, a startup-style executive who thrives in fast-moving environments, loves the craft of selling, and is energized by teaching and developing young, hungry talent while scaling a category-defining business. What You Will Own The Chief Commercial Officer will lead and scale the full commercial function, with accountability for revenue growth and the systems, people, and strategy that power it. This includes direct leadership of sales and marketing, and close partnership with Finance, Product, Technology, and Data Science. Key Responsibilities Commercial leadership and growth: ● Lead and scale all sales and marketing functions from New York City, building a high-performing, accountable, coaching-driven organization. ● Own the full commercial engine, including new business, expansion, and long-term enterprise client relationships. ● Define and execute Simulmedia’s go-to-market strategy for converged streaming and linear TV, with clear market segmentation, positioning, and sales motion. ● Expand deep, strategic enterprise client relationships, serving as an executive sponsor and building multi-threaded partnerships across key accounts. ● Personally drive and close high-stakes opportunities by working in the field, leading key pitches, negotiating critical terms, and setting the standard for excellence. Strategy, operating cadence, and cross-functional alignment: ● Partner closely with the CEO, CFO, and Chief Product and Technology Officer to align revenue strategy with product roadmap, platform capabilities, measurement, and financial discipline. ● Establish a rigorous commercial operating cadence, including pipeline generation, forecasting, account planning, and performance management. ● Build scalable commercial infrastructure in partnership with Sales Operations and Finance, including reporting, territory design, compensation inputs, and performance analytics. ● Partner with marketing leadership to build enterprise demand generation, thought leadership, and storytelling that advances Simulmedia’s category leadership. Talent development and culture: ● Develop elite commercial talent through hands-on coaching and mentorship, including real-time deal support and field leadership. ● Recruit, hire, and retain high-potential sellers and marketers, building a team that wins with IQ, EQ, curiosity, collaboration, and grit. ● Model Simulmedia’s values and maintain a high-bar culture that is both intense and fun, where people work hard, think deeply, and win together. Qualifications ● 10+ Senior commercial leadership experience with a proven record of scaling enterprise revenue, ideally in advertising, media, ad tech, data, measurement, or performance marketing. ● Deep fluency in streaming and linear TV, including how buyers plan, activate, and measure across both. ● Demonstrated success in complex, enterprise, client-directed selling, with the ability to translate sophisticated technology, data, and measurement into compelling value for executive buyers. ● Strong executive presence and communication skills, with credibility with CMOs, CEOs, and analytically driven marketing teams. ● Builder mindset and operational discipline, comfortable creating structure, process, and accountability without slowing speed. ● A hands-on leader who loves the craft of selling, shows up in the field, and develops talent through real coaching. ● Comfortable partnering closely across Finance, Product, Technology, and Data Science to align strategy and execution.
