Description: Milton Hershey School (MHS) is a top-notch home and school where 2,000 pre-K through 12th grade students from disadvantaged backgrounds are provided an extra-ordinary cost-free career focused education. This is made possible by the generosity of Milton and Catherine Hershey, who established the school in 1909 and ensured it was fully endowed. MHS is hiring Flex Transitional Living Assistants (FTLA) to live with and supervise high school seniors in campus residence buildings in Hershey, PA. FTLA’s mentor MHS seniors to ensure they develop the life skills necessary for success post-graduation – whether they are entering post-secondary education, the military, or the world of work. FTLA's prepare students for the challenges they’ll face by role-modeling life skills and teaching self-responsibility, goal setting, planning & prioritization, time management, personal finance, and interpersonal skills - including appropriate dating behavior and managing peer pressure. Other responsibilities include creating and supervising evening & weekend recreational activities, taking students to Sunday chapel services, and collaborating with fellow staff members to continually evaluate and enhance the program. Additionally, FTLA’s provide coverage in MHS’s students homes as needed. This is a year-round position, working a schedule of 9 consecutive days, followed by 3 days off. Compensation includes a minimum annual salary of $48,799 plus a benefits package. Housing & utilities are provided. Up to $2,800 in relocation assistance is available. Ideally, the Medical Support Specialist will be familiar with regulations of the plasma collection industry and/or a manufacturing environment. The Medical Support Specialist follows guidance provided by BioLife Medical Affairs and provides center level support of environmental, health and safety (EHS). ACCOUNTABILITIES • Donor Eligibility (85%), • Determine donor eligibility accurately and in a timely manner, to include, proper management of informed consent, AIDS education and confidential self-exclusion, medical history interview and acceptance requirements, physical examination, blood testing, and reviewing Serological Protein Electrophoresis (SPE) as required., • Evaluate and manage donor reaction(s), which occurs at the facility as outlined in the SOPs. Follow applicable SOPs for medical emergencies including the execution of Center Physician’s standing orders and donor transport to emergency care facilities., • Manage donor deferral; reviews test results and notify donors of unsuitable test results per applicable SOPs., • Initiation and investigation of Post Donation Information (PDI)., • Refer to the Center Physician or Medical Affairs (as applicable) when in need of providing unacceptable findings to donors, problem solving, or guidance concerning medical or technical issues, including donor safety and eligibility., • Demonstrate continued competency in the performance of job responsibilities and complete periodic assessment with the Center Physician per applicable SOPs., • Assist the EHS program as required per SOPs or as requested by the EHS Manager (5%), • Conduct pre-placement evaluation of new hires to include assessment of medical history questionnaire., • Support the Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees as applicable., • Maintain applicable employee medical records., • Member of EHS site committee and assist in training of employees, as required., • Manage employee incidents and determine whether further evaluation is required by occupational health/ER. Job Description The Source Inspector, (SI) is responsible for performing inspection operations of in-process or completed hardware, including dimensional, and visual inspection. The source inspection may include reviewing all paperwork relating to the product at hand. This includes operations such as Final Inspection, Receiving Inspection, Outside processing, and Assembly.
