Job Responsibilities \tWeigh ingredients according to formula using proper weighing techniques. \tPlace measured ingredients into V-mag dump buggy, plastic bag or in mixer. \tUse sensory observations to spot potential quality issues and inform supervisor accordingly. \tKeep written batch records of raw materials where necessary. This information must be recorded for all batches mixed. \tUtilize computers to print raw material labels, weigh labels, and formula labels. \tMaintain production flow between spice room and mixers. \tScale up various raw material ingredients to specified quantities. \tKeep allergens separate and follow allergen tools color code. \tMaintain location accuracy for all raw materials in the spice room and staging areas. \tIssue all raw materials to specified mixing locations. \tCheck all expiration dates and use FIFO for all raw materials. \tReturn all raw materials that are not going to be used to return location. \tMaintain a clean and organized spiced room environment. \tUse of half face or full-face respirator \tWill require GMP clothing such as steel toe shoes, lab jacket, glasses, hairnets, beard guard and earplugs. Qualifications/skills \tAble to lift and pour 50 lbs. unassisted. \tReading / writing (record keeping). \tBasic mathematical ability (operate scale, read formulas, count, etc.). \tAbility to communicate using spoken words. Ability to communicate in English with co-workers in a respectful manner. \tExperience with scales and handheld scanners. \tUnderstand the difference between Gram, Ounce, and Pounds. \tAbility to use a calculator for simple addition and multiplication. \tTeam-work oriented; self-starter; dependable; responsible; attention to detail. \tUse of Electric jacks and Manual jacks. \tAbility to work in an alert and safe manner. \tAbility to work overtime as needed. \tHigh school diploma or equivalent. \tExperience preferred in a food manufacturing production environment. PHYSICAL DEMANDS \tMust be able to physically perform the functions of stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, and walking for long periods of time, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions. \tMust be able to see in color. \tMust be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
