Job Description Motor Assistance Vehicle Technician (MAVT)/ Motor Assistance Vehicle Operator (MAVO) SUMMARY: The Motor Assistance Vehicle Technician/Operator (MAVT/MAVO) is responsible for all aspects of patients’ care within the scope of certification. Essential Job Functions The Motor Assistance Vehicle Technician/Operator (MAVT/MAVO) is an integral part of the Virgo transportation team. In this position the MAVT/MAVO transports ambulatory patients to and from residences and or skilled nursing facilities to medical treatments and or appointments, and then return them. Some of the patients are able to ambulate to our vehicles while other must be moved in their wheelchairs, or are able to move on their electric scooters. No person is to ride the lift while standing, or on the electric scooter. The patients are placed in a wheelchair to go up on the lift, and they are moved inside and secured to the vehicle either on the bench seat or in the wheelchair. Should there be an aide or family member accompanying the patient, they must be secured in the vehicle as well. The MAVT/MAVO must check to see if any belongings or paperwork must accompany the patient for the transport, and then ensure that it gets dropped off with the patient. For each trip the appropriate documentation must be filled out, and where required, obtain the necessary signatures from the patient and /or facility. In the event monies are to be collected at time of service, a receipt is to be filled out and a copy given to the patient, or the person accompanying the patient. The MAVT/MAVO must be capable of good oral communications as for every leg of the trip dispatch must be communicated with, as to alert them to the status of the transport. In addition should any incident occur dispatch must be notified in a timely manner. The vehicle being used for any particular shift must be checked both prior and post usage for mechanical operations, fluids, and general cleanliness. The MAVT/MAVO must be able to utilize maps in order to locate facilities or residences that they are not aware of, with the assistance of dispatch. At the conclusion of the MAVT’s/MAVO's shift they must turn in the appropriate paperwork, and monies collected. Job Description The Vibration Test Technician will assist in setting up, conducting, and documenting vibration testing for Valcor Space products. Collaborating with Engineers, they’ll assist in designing fixturing, integrating new products, perform vibration testing, and report results to verify product quality in a fast-paced production lab environment. Duties/Responsibilities: • Operate Electrodynamic Vibration systems as well as pneumatic systems to test the manufacture quality and overall dynamic response of valves, valve systems, and components., • Use basic hand tools to set up and run vibration and pneumatic testing of Valcor Space hardware., • Read and interpret technical documentation, such as procedures, drawing, and process travelers, appropriately., • Ensure test software is properly programmed to meet test requirements., • Work with Valcor Dynamics Test Engineer to understand dynamic concepts and product behavior., • Use critical thinking and understanding of troubleshooting steps to adjust and perform tests accordingly., • Create detailed documentation of all testing performed., • Employ Lean Manufacturing principles and initiatives if/when necessary, • Maintain a well organized and functional vibration lab, • Troubleshoot, repair, and/or report any equipment in need of repair to supervisor or applicable engineering group., • Fulfill additional job duties as assigned. This position involves maintaining thorough documentation at each process touchpoint. The QA Tech collaborates with the Packaging Manager and other departments to identify and implement process improvements, investigate quality issues, and ensure that all packaging operations meet the highest standards of quality and regulatory compliance. The QA Tech acts with the best interest of the client and provides oversite during key custody changes to ensure proper processing. This role does not create labels. Performs a visual inspection of the patient compartment, inside and out, and for cleanliness and damage. Cleans the patient compartment, equipment, and outside of vehicle as needed. Replaces damaged or missing items, noting deficiencies on Usage Report. Presents the signed, dated Vehicle/Equipment Checklist to the Supervisor. Ensures that the ambulance is at all times in compliance with applicable NJ Department of Health Regulations. Directs his/her assistant (EMT) with regard to assistance with patient care and handling, use of emergency warning devices, speed and special driving conditions particular to patient needs. Responds to all calls as directed by Communications in a professional manner and in the time frame assigned. Treats all patients in accordance with NJ Basic Life Support Protocols. Secures patient information and records from the discharge planner or Registered Nurse at the transferring facility. Transports all patients via stretcher.
