Job Description School of Rock Brick is looking for an Advanced Guitar Instructor who lives and breathes the instrument. We aren’t looking for hobbyists; we’re looking for a seasoned pro with a deep touring or session pedigree to mentor our most dedicated students (ages 8-18). You’ve spent 5+ years mastering the stage—now, help us build the next generation of guitar heroes. The Gig At School of Rock, classic rock songs are the curriculum. You’ll be teaching the technical nuances of Hendrix, Van Halen, Brian May, and Randy Rhoads. Your role is to take students from their first power chord to their first professional-grade stage performance. • Advanced Instruction: Conduct high-level private lessons focusing on technique, theory, and improvisation., • Stage Coaching: Lead group rehearsals, teaching students how to lock in with a rhythm section and own the stage., • Custom Mentorship: Adapt your professional experience to inspire kids as young as 8 and challenge advanced teens preparing for music college, pro auditions, or their first tour., • Tech Integration: Use our patented Method App to track progress and keep students engaged between lessons. What We’re Looking For • The Pro Pedigree: Minimum 5 years of professional performing experience. You should be comfortable discussing gear, tone, and stagecraft., • Teaching Chops: Prior experience in a teaching environment is required. You know how to break down complex theory into digestible, "cool" concepts., • The Kid Factor: You have a natural ability to connect with kids and teens. You can be the "cool mentor" while maintaining the structure and patience needed to help a young player succeed., • Technical Mastery: Advanced knowledge of modes, scales, sweep picking, hybrid picking, and diverse rock sub-genres (Classic, Indie, Metal, Prog)., • Reliability: You’re a pro. You show up on time, stay organized, and communicate effectively with parents and the Music Director.
