Job Description Job Summary: The Engineer at Hyatt Place is responsible for maintaining the property’s overall functionality, including the building, equipment, and grounds. This role ensures that all hotel facilities and services operate smoothly and efficiently, providing guests with a safe and comfortable experience. Key Responsibilities: • Preventive Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks on all mechanical equipment, HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical systems, and other hotel assets. Ensure the upkeep of guest rooms, public spaces, and back-of-house areas., • Repair Work: Respond promptly to guest or management requests for repair services. Troubleshoot and repair issues related to plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and other mechanical systems., • Safety and Compliance: Maintain the hotel's safety standards by conducting regular inspections and tests, ensuring that all equipment is in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. Participate in fire drills and safety programs., • Energy Management: Monitor and control energy usage throughout the hotel, looking for ways to improve efficiency and reduce costs., • Documentation: Keep accurate records of maintenance work, inspections, and repairs. Report any unsafe conditions or equipment that requires replacement., • Vendor Coordination: Work with outside contractors and vendors for specialized repairs or maintenance tasks. Oversee their work to ensure it meets the hotel’s standards., • Team Collaboration: Work closely with the housekeeping and front desk teams to address guest concerns and maintain the overall appearance and functionality of the hotel., • Emergency Response: Be available to respond to emergencies, such as power outages, plumbing issues, or fire alarms. Act swiftly to mitigate any issues., • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or vocational training preferred., • Experience: Previous experience in hotel maintenance or engineering preferred. Experience with HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems is highly valued., • Skills: Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently. Good communication skills and the ability to interact positively with guests and team members., • Certifications: Relevant certifications (e.g., HVAC, EPA) are preferred. The role may require working varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, depending on the hotel's needs. Requirements • A degree in a relevant field such as mechanical, electrical, or industrial engineering., • Proven experience in a manufacturing facility as a maintenance engineer or in a similar role., • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills., • Knowledge of electrical systems and the ability to use a multimeter, including high and low voltage systems., • Basic welding skills., • Excellent communication and customer service skills., • Ability to work independently and as part of a team., • Physical stamina to perform tasks in a fast-paced environment. As a Sr. Program Manager with Resource Innovations, you will work in a dynamic environment leading and managing a team of outreach and operations staff on a large scale multifamily energy efficiency program. The Sr. Program Manager will play a highly visible role both internally and externally and will be responsible for developing short and long-term implementation plans, leading program implementation activities, developing trusted relationships with clients, industry stakeholders, and program contacts. The Sr. Program Manager must be able to manage large projects in a rapidly changing environment and pivot quickly between design challenges, implementation, and market conditions. This position requires excellent planning, budgeting, and people-management skills. The SR Program Manager will effectively redirect the team or project approach in response to new knowledge or unexpected events and circumstances. Duties and Responsibilities • Delivers successful large-budget energy efficiency programs to utility client(s) per contract terms and program budgets., • Identifies, defines, quantifies, tracks and drives program deliverables to be submitted accurately and on time., • Continuously assesses project progress to goal and develops innovative and creative solutions to new issues and/or market dynamics., • Manages, leads, and mentors a dynamic team by setting and reviewing performance standards and objectives for direct reports and creates effective delivery teams., • Develops, manages, and fosters partnerships with subcontractors, community groups, and other industry affiliates/stakeholders., • Manages client expectations, satisfaction, communications, and resolves and/or escalates client issues., • Interfaces with key internal departments such as IT, Marketing, Finance and HR to develop efficiencies to meet program needs., • A Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in business, energy, engineering or related field of study required, a Masters degree in a related field preferred, • A minimum of 7+ years’ experience in energy-efficiency or a related field required, 5+ years of direct supervisory experience, • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects and collaborating with cross-functional teams under tight deadlines., • Previous Contract development and negotiation experience, • Proficient skills with Microsoft Office Suite, CRM tools, • New Jersey residency required, • Excellent communication, organization, and project management skills., • Client-centered and customer service-focused., • Ability and experience in short and long-range planning and strategy., • Technical acumen regarding residential & multifamily energy use and/or building science., • Detail oriented with the ability to multi-task and self-direct your work., • Proficient in establishing job and work process flows., • Positive, action-oriented attitude showing initiative and creativity., • Exceptional problem-solving skills. Compensation & Benefits Resource Innovations offers competitive salaries based on a candidate's skills, experience and qualifications for the position. The compensation range for the base salary for this position is $102,000-$169,000. In addition to base pay, employees are eligible for a discretionary annual bonus. The stated salary represents the expected compensation for this position. Final compensation will be determined based on factors such as the candidate's experience, education and location. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package that includes three weeks of paid vacation per year; paid holidays; a 401(k)-retirement plan with employer matching; health, dental and vision insurance; and other supplemental benefits.
