All this is supported by our groundbreaking Research Platform, which brings together our AI models, data science, and technology to accelerate the design, delivery, and analysis of our research and the creation of our insight Director Social Research We’re looking for: A Director to join our Social Analytics team as a player/coach — leading client strategy, guiding a team, and rolling up your sleeves to deliver insights. In this role, you’ll partner with top entertainment and media companies to help them understand audience conversations around films, trailers, and talent. You’ll blend quantitative metrics with qualitative analysis to deliver clear, actionable insights about social conversation. This is a hands-on leadership opportunity for someone who has a strong background in social listening, and enjoys shaping both client relationships and the growth of a team. In this role you will: • Manage, mentor, and develop a team, providing coaching, feedback, and professional growth opportunities., • Act as a player/coach — balancing hands-on execution with oversight and guidance., • Partner with Managers and other team members to build and maintain strong client relationships, coaching and supporting them to ensure client satisfaction., • In some cases, act as the senior point of contact for key clients., • Partner with commercial and sales teams to scope projects and shape proposals., • Lead social analytics projects from design to delivery, ensuring insights meet client objectives and deadlines., • Analyze and interpret social conversation data (volume, sentiment, themes, personas, sample comments), drawing actionable insights and contextualizing with historical benchmarks and industry knowledge., • Blend quantitative and qualitative perspectives to tell compelling stories and answer client business questions., • Oversee quality control to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and consistency across deliverables. It’ll be helpful if you have: • 7–10+ years’ experience in social analytics, market research, or related fields., • Demonstrated expertise in social listening methodologies and tools., • Strong experience in using social listening/analytics tools (e.g. Meltwater, Talkwalker, Brandwatch, or similar)., • Proven track record of building and maintaining client relationships., • Experience managing teams and developing talent., • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to simplify complex data into actionable insights., • Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, quick-turn environment., • Deep familiarity with the entertainment and media ecosystem (film, streaming, talent, fan culture) preferred., • Experience with agencies, research firms, or entertainment clients. Check us out: Per the pay transparency law, the hiring range for this position is $115,000 to $132,000. As a candidate for this position, your salary and related elements of compensation will be contingent upon your work experience, education, skill set, and any other factors MarketCast considers relevant to the hiring decision.
