Job Description Good Shepherd Services (GSS) is seeking a highly motivated and dynamic leader with extensive experience in child and family clinical services to serve as Senior Vice President of Integrated Health. The role will be responsible for the oversight of all GSS medical health and behavioral health services and programs that fall under our Article 29, Section I (A29i) license, to ensure alignment with Medicaid Managed Care requirements and evidence-based, best practices. The SVP will report to the Chief Program Officer, Youth and Family Wellbeing (YFWB), the GSS division in which all A29i programs are based. Institutions partner with Instructional Connections to support the delivery of their high-quality asynchronous online courses at an affordable cost. In the online course, students are assigned an Academic Coach, which may also be known as or referred to as a Teaching Assistant, Course Assistant, or Instructional Associate, depending on the program. We are currently working with over 50 US public and state universities across over 75 programs, and we expect to add several additional ones in the coming year. MORE ABOUT THE POSITION: Our Academic Coaches assist with the grading of assignments according to faculty instructions, monitor discussion threads, respond to inquiries and emails within 24 hours, monitor student engagement, provide online support, and regularly partner with the university faculty of record. Academic Coaches act as facilitators and graders, while the university faculty member is the instructor of record. Approximately 75% of the courses we support are accelerated, consisting of 5 to 9-week course cycles, and the programs offer fully online courses year-round, outside of traditional semester calendars, with 4 to 7 course term starts throughout the year. On average, an Academic Coach spends about 10-30 minutes per week, per student. However, this can vary based on the course level, subject area, specific course assigned, and the number of open-ended assignments involved. Academic Coaches who consistently complete coach assignments with positive feedback from their faculty will be considered for additional student loads or sections. Our objective is to prevent overextending a coach’s commitments to ensure their capacity to serve all assigned students effectively is not compromised. In the first assignment as an Academic Coach, the practical limit is around 50 students, with 30 being more typical. An experienced Academic Coach typically supports 75-90 students. A highly proficient coach with ample time may be assigned up to 120 students, but this is the upper limit. Compensation is calculated based on a per-student-per-course formula. Since we support all disciplines, course levels (undergrad, graduate, and doctoral), and courses from 5 to 16 weeks, specific per-student-per-course rates are not disclosed until an approved Academic Coach is assigned to a course by a Lead Coach. After submitting your application, if you are selected as a candidate to begin the first step in our vetting process, you will be scheduled for an Academic Coach Pre-Employment Screening (virtual interview) session. THE OPPORTUNITY The Center for Justice Innovation seeks a Housing Court Navigator for the Eviction Diversion Initiative (EDI) in Kings County. The mission of EDI is to ensure access to the holistic resources needed for tenants and their families to prevent eviction and maintain safe, stable, and affordable housing. EDI helps litigants get assistance with arrears and ongoing rental assistance, legal assistance, public benefits, mental health services, employment, financial empowerment, and connections to other community-based organizations. EDI also facilitates collaboration with court administration, judges, and clerks to review data, identify resources, and problem-solve issues as they arise. The EDI project is run by the Center for Justice Innovation in Kings and Suffolk Counties in New York State. Reporting to the Project Manager of Eviction Diversion in the Kings County (Brooklyn) Housing Court, the Navigator is responsible for supporting the daily operations of the EDI grant program with Kings County (Brooklyn) Housing Court. The Housing Court Navigator will be responsible for identifying and assisting public housing and housing voucher recipients who are facing eviction as well as other tenants facing eviction or displacement. The selected candidate will be charged with initiating and maintaining relationships and working collaboratively with stakeholders, including attorneys for litigants (including but not limited to attorneys for tenants and attorneys for the New York City Housing Authority (NYCHA), the presiding judge and their court attorneys and clerks, Office of Court Administration (OCA) personnel, Adult Protective Services (APS), Human Resources Administration (HRA), other government and social services agencies, and tenant families. THE OPPORTUNITY Brooklyn Justice Initiatives (BJI), the largest operating project of the Center, seeks to re-engineer the experience of criminal court in Brooklyn, New York, by providing judges and attorneys meaningful alternatives to bail, fines, and jail sentences. Operating out of Kings County Criminal Court along with community-based offices, BJI is a team of social service providers, court-based resource coordinators, mental health practitioners, compliance specialists, and others who seek to improve the quality of justice. Supervised Release offers an alternative to jail by providing pretrial supervision, case management, and voluntary social services to people charged with misdemeanor and felony offenses, and in doing so, uses an arrest as a window of opportunity to change the direction of a participant’s life, avoiding the harmful effects of incarceration. Program participants are monitored to ensure their appearance at court dates and mandatory programming and receive referrals to services such as job training, drug treatment, and mental health counseling. BJI is seeking a Supervising Case Manager for the borough’s Supervised Release Program (SRP) to supervise our case management and field engagement staff who are based in the community. Reporting to the Case Management Coordinator, the Supervising Case Manager will be responsible for providing substantive and consistent trauma-informed supervision to Case Managers, Senior Case Managers, and Community Navigators to ensure fidelity to the program model and quality service to participants in the community. Supervising Case Managers ensure that staff complete program-specific training, consistently apply policy, protocol, and best practices in alignment with that training, maintain routine and accurate data entry and court reporting, and collaborate effectively across SRP teams to build on successes and proactively address challenges. This position is also responsible for completing comprehensive and routine case audits in partnership with the compliance team to ensure consistent application of policies, protocols, and best practices. This in-person and on-site position leverages exemplary communication, data management, and supervisory skills to support their staff in the execution of their responsibilities. Compensation: The compensation range for this position is $67,000 - $82,000 and is commensurate with experience.
