SPECIFICATIONS: Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in a Human Services related field, experience in the provision of prevention related programs. At least three (3) years’ experience working in non-profit, social service environment in development or implementation of community-based services, prevention programs, or any other human service programs. Experience in community organizing, developing community partnerships, implementing evidence-based programs and project management. Applicants who do not possess the required education may substitute additional experience as indicated on a year-for-year basis with thirty (30) semester hour credits being equal to one (1) year of experience. Hybrid Schedules are based on program needs and at leadership discretion: Job Summary: The Sociotherapist Supervisor provides clinical and administrative supervision and professional development to Sociotherapists in the Enhanced Family Foster Care Program. S/he ensures the quality and timely provision of a wide range of therapeutic interventions to address the trauma symptoms of the child/youth. The Sociotherapist Supervisor ensures the individualized behavioral and emotional needs of children and youth are addressed on a weekly basis for the purpose of improving the child’s/youth’s daily functioning in the home, school and community. The Sociotherapist Supervisor is responsible for the implementation of all Foster Care Standards and for ensuring the strengths and challenges of children and youth are addressed within the framework of the ABC Model for Behavioral Plans, the Individualized Crisis Mangement Plan, Sanctuary S.E.L.F Model, Trauma Informed Practice, and Youth Development principles. The Sociotherapist Supervisor models a collaborative approach to practice by ensuring sociotherapists communicate, understand, and integrate information from interdisciplinary team members in response to the child’s/youth’s needs. The Sociotherapist Supervisor ensures treatment foster parents are implementing a trauma informed approach to the child/youth in their home and are effectively utilizing the pronciples of the ABC Model. The Social Worker will play a key role in engaging participants at early points of court involvement, connecting them with individualized, trauma-informed services, and fostering outcomes that promote healing, stability, and reduced future system contact. Responsibilities include conducting intakes and assessments; providing comprehensive case management; offering individual counseling and facilitating psychoeducational or therapeutic groups; and supporting participants across same-day, early diversion, and ATI programming. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute directly to expanding the City's industrial economy and supporting the activation of newly renovated manufacturing spaces in Sunset Park. The intern will focus on three core projects supporting the leasing and asset management teams: 1. Market & Competitor Analysis • Use CoStar and CompStak to conduct market and competitor research on industrial properties., • Analyze data to identify key trends, benchmarks, and opportunities in the Brooklyn industrial market., • Support the development of marketing materials and property summaries based on research findings. 2. Business Outreach Research • Lead a research initiative to identify potential tenant businesses and their spatial requirements for upcoming leasing opportunities., • Develop a comprehensive database of over 1,000 businesses as a prospecting tool for leasing outreach., • Assist in creating targeted marketing collateral for outreach campaigns. 3. CRM Integration & Data Management • Prepare existing leasing team trackers and datasets for integration into a new Customer Relationship Management (CRM) platform., • Support the onboarding and organization of leasing data to streamline tracking of leads, prospects, and tenants., • Preferred field(s) of study: Real Estate, Business, Economics, Urban Planning, or related field., • Must be enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program; recent graduates are also encouraged to apply, • Demonstrated enthusiasm for the mission of NYCEDC, • Demonstrated written, verbal, and analytical skills, • Demonstrated experience in using database and presentation tools, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word, • Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to multi-task and manage deadlines, • Ability to work in collaborative, cross-functional teams NYCEDC is committed to offering competitive benefits to support employee health, happiness, and work-life balance.
