Job DescriptionDescription: Position Summary The Recreation Assistant organizes, conducts, and supervises recreation and leisure time activities. Essential Functions • Assist Job Corps students to actively engage in a variety of recreation activities, field trips, sports programs, and leadership initiatives., • Maintain a safe, engaging, and positive environment., • Transport students to recreational events using center vehicles as needed., • Maintain accountability of students during recreational events and enforce behavioral expectations., • Provide direct service and support to Job Corps students with and without disabilities., • Oversee the student store/canteen. This position works well for drivers who want long runs, reliable pay, and home time that is built into the schedule instead of promised when freight slows down. Terminal Area Laredo, TX Drivers run all 48 states with most loads averaging 700–750 miles. Freight stays consistent year-round with a mix of drop-and-hook and live unload. The majority of loads are no-touch, allowing drivers to focus on driving instead of dock work. Routes are assigned through a large national freight network that keeps miles available even during slower seasons. Pay & Weekly Earnings Average weekly pay ranges from $1,250 to $1,450 depending on miles and performance. Detention pay is included for qualifying delays, and additional performance incentives reward safe driving and reliability. After 6 months, drivers are eligible for medical, dental, and vision coverage along with paid vacation and 401(k) options. Rider and pet programs are available for approved drivers.
