The City of New York has formally entrusted the care of the Park to the Conservancy which is responsible for every aspect of its care, including landscape maintenance, capital improvements, and the visitor experience. The Conservancy employs roughly 400 people and has an annual operating budget of $100 million. Host/Hostess – Job Description We are looking for a friendly and organized Host/Hostess to be the first point of contact for our guests and help ensure a smooth front-of-house experience. Responsibilities: • Greet and welcome guests in a warm, professional manner, • Manage reservations and waitlist, • Seat guests efficiently while maintaining balanced service flow, • Answer phone calls and take delivery orders accurately, • Coordinate and organize third-party delivery orders, • Receive, check, and hand off delivery pickups to drivers, • Maintain a clean and organized host area, • Communicate effectively with management and service staff Requirements: • Strong communication and customer service skills, • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, • Punctual, reliable, and well-presented, • Prior restaurant experience is a plus but not required We’re looking for someone who is organized, friendly, and able to keep things running smoothly during busy service.
