American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN Cardiac Cath Lab for a travel nursing job in Brooklyn, New York. Job Description & Requirements • Specialty: Cardiac Cath Lab, • Discipline: RN, • Start Date: 04/06/2026, • Duration: 8 weeks, • 36 hours per week, • Shift: 12 hours, days, • Employment Type: Travel Assignment Overview • Shift: Days, 3x12hrs, • Hours: 36 hrs/wk, • Start Date: Apr 6, 2026, • Length: 8 weeks, • Mixed procedural unit supporting Cardiac Cath, Electrophysiology (EP), and Interventional Radiology (IR), with a shared prep and recovery area, • Primary patient population consists of adults with arrhythmias and related cardiac diagnoses, • Day shift ratio of 1:4, • Schedule is 3×12-hour day shifts, 6:00 AM–6:30 PM with no rotating shifts, • Weekends and on-call are not required, • Floating required to Cath Prep/Recovery, • Documents procedures using Epic (experience required), • Medication management via Omnicell, • 8-week contractRequirements, • Active NY RN license required, • Current BLS and ACLS certifications required, • Minimum 2 years of RN experience required, • EP Lab experience required; candidates with a Cath Lab background and EP experience will be considered, • Epic charting experience required, • Proficiency with procedural sedation administration and monitoring, • Competency with antiarrhythmics, antihypertensives, emergency medications, IV vasopressors, reversal agents, and thrombolytics, • Skills required include sheath removal and monitoring, cardioversion, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, 12-lead EKG/ECG, vascular closure systems (Perclose, StarClose), topical hemostasis agents, PICC line care, blood product administration, and end-tidal CO2 monitoring, • COVID vaccination required — no exceptionsAdditional Information, • Responsibilities include pre- and post-procedure care, circulating procedures, monitoring procedural sedation, and supporting cardiac and EP interventional cases, • Teaching hospital and community hospital experience preferred, • Previous charge nurse experience preferred, • Cath Lab training preferred, • Orientation is approximately 11.5 hours, • Scrubs are provided, • Parking is available at no cost in an assigned employee garage, • First-time travelers are welcome to apply, • Candidates who have previously worked at this facility must have been away for at least 1 year to return as a traveler, • Local candidates are accepted With thousands of travel nursing and allied jobs nationwide, our attentive and approachable recruiters find positions that align perfectly with your career aspirations and personal requirements.
