    Morning Barista — Bright Cup Coffee Pop-Up at Bar Leone (SoHo) Part-time · 527 Broome St · Hired by Bar Leone About us Bright Cup is a Colombian specialty coffee brand built around rhythm, not rush. We source from small farms in Caldas and design coffee rituals around how people actually feel through the day. This fall, Bar Leone, a cocktail bar in SoHo, opens its ground floor in the mornings for a Bright Cup pop-up. It will have an espresso bar, French pastries, and a slower kind of morning on Broome Street. We're looking for a barista to help open it with us. Schedule • Sundays, 9am–2pm, from mid-October through November 1. This is our soft-launch period for testing the menu, workflow, and service., • From November, the schedule grows. We plan to move to Friday–Sunday and then to 4–5 mornings a week (8am–3pm) as the pop-up finds its rhythm., • Occasional early-morning events (around 8–10am), like coffee tastings and small community mornings. What you'll do • Dial in espresso each morning and keep every cup consistent, • Make the full bar menu: espresso, macchiato, cappuccino, latte, americano, and filter, • Help guests find the right cup for their morning, including our functional blends, in a warm and easy way, • Open and close the espresso station and keep it spotless, • Work closely with our host and server so the room feels calm, even during a rush, • Taste new coffees and drinks with us and tell us honestly what works You might be a fit if you • Have at least 1 year of experience behind a specialty coffee bar, • Steam milk well and can pour solid latte art, • Stay grounded when there's a line out the door, • Like talking to people about coffee without lecturing them, • Can reliably work early Sunday mornings during the launch, • Nice to have: NYC Food Protection Certificate, Spanish, or experience with a coffee brand launch What we offer • $27 - 30 /hr including tips, • A chance to grow with a young brand from its very first mornings

    We are looking for a versatile team member to join our store as a Baker / Prepared Foods / Cashier Associate. We are looking for someone with real hands-on baking experience who can prepare and bake products using our existing recipes, while also bringing their own ideas, recipes, and creativity to help us expand and improve our bakery selection. This is a multi-department position, so the right person should also be comfortable serving customers in Prepared Foods and assisting at the register when needed. Responsibilities • Prepare and bake a variety of bakery products from scratch or according to established recipes, • Follow Westside Market recipes and production standards, • Suggest and develop new bakery items based on your own experience and recipes, • Test new products and help determine what works well for our customers, • Measure, mix, prepare, bake, finish, and present products consistently, • Maintain quality, freshness, portioning, and presentation standards, • Package, label, price, stock, and merchandise bakery products, • Serve customers at the Prepared Foods counter, • Weigh, package, and prepare food for customers, • Operate the cash register and assist customers at checkout when needed, • Maintain clean and sanitary bakery and food-preparation areas, • Follow all food-safety and sanitation procedures

    Line Cook — Mishik | Hudson Square, NYC Overview Join the culinary team at Mishik, a Japanese restaurant located in the heart of Hudson Square, New York City. We are looking for an experienced and dedicated Line Cook who takes pride in preparing high-quality food, maintaining consistency, and working as part of a professional kitchen team. The ideal candidate has a passion for Japanese cuisine, strong cooking fundamentals, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to perform efficiently in a fast-paced restaurant environment. This position is ideal for a cook who is eager to contribute to a high-quality kitchen while continuing to develop their culinary skills. A minimum of 2 years of professional line-cooking experience is required. Duties • Prepare and execute menu items according to Mishik’s recipes, standards, and plating specifications., • Work efficiently and accurately across assigned stations during service., • Maintain consistent quality, portion control, presentation, and timing throughout each shift., • Complete daily prep, including cutting, portioning, sauces, stocks, and other components as assigned., • Follow proper food handling, storage, sanitation, and safety procedures at all times., • Maintain a clean, organized, and properly stocked workstation throughout service., • Communicate effectively with the Chef, Sous Chef, and other kitchen team members during busy services., • Properly label, date, rotate, and store ingredients according to restaurant standards., • Monitor food quality and communicate any shortages, quality concerns, or equipment issues to management., • Assist with receiving and organizing deliveries and maintaining appropriate inventory levels., • Support other kitchen stations and team members as needed., • Follow all recipes, kitchen procedures, and standards consistently., • Assist with opening, closing, and cleaning duties as required.
