Patient’s satisfaction, provider time, and treatment room utilization by scheduling appointments in person or by telephone., • Generate a compilation of reports, logs and lists including but not limited to authorization and verifications with a high level of accuracy., • Ensure co-pays are tallied and reconciled and control credit extended to patients., • Call treating physicians to obtain updated prescriptions for treatment by Occupational and Physical Therapists., • Obtains Plan of Cares from treating physician and update system., • Set up a new /returning patient case in Theraoffice which includes obtaining new demographic information and all existing insurance information., • Keeps patient appointments on schedule by notifying Clinicians of patient’s arrival; reviewing service delivery compared to schedule; reminding provider of service delays., • Ensures availability of treatment information by filing and retrieving patient records., • Maintains business office inventory and equipment by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; placing and expediting orders for supplies; verifying receipt of supplies; scheduling equipment service and repairs., • Maintains a working knowledge of Metro, rules and policies, and works to ensure the compliance with the stated parameters. Perform other duties and assignments as required., • Maintains strictest confidentiality; adheres to all HIPAA guidelines/regulations., • Perform other duties and assignments as required. Seeking an experienced Eye Surgical Tech or graduate of a certified CST program. Willing to train the right candidate. Specialties include Orthopedics, ENT, Podiatry, Pain Management, Podiatry and Ophthalmology. Core Job Responsibilities: • Possesses abilities to work collaboratively with all members of the health care team to provide safe care to the patient throughout his surgical experience., • Demonstrates knowledge in the ability to plan, prepare and assemble the proper sterile supplies & instruments for planned procedure., • Possesses skills and knowledge in the proper handling of sterile surgical instruments and supplies while securing a sterile field., • Possesses skills and knowledge in the proper handling of contaminated articles used during surgery, to mitigate occupational exposure to self and others., • Possesses the required knowledge of surgical instrumentation names, uses and applications., • Prepares operating / procedure rooms with specific equipment, sterile instruments and supplies based on physician preferences and the accumulative knowledge based on experiences to optimize work flow, efficiencies and cost containment strategies., • Understands and anticipates expected procedure course of events and prepares for and responds with expediency., • Protects patient privacy during direct patient contact and abides to HIPAA standards upholding the privacy and security of PHI and ePHI., • Other responsibilities may be assigned.
